teeth falling out dream

my dream is vague now in my mind but i remember i was in my house and i was fighting with my mom in the living room, when she swung her hand at me, and i put my left hand on my mouth. next thing i know im standing there and i realize my front left tooth is gone. so i look for it on the floor and when i bent down my other teeth started falling out. i ran to the bathroom and open my mouth in front of the mirror and all my teeth were gone. i was crying hysterically and i went back to search but for some reason was searching for them outside on the ground, no longer in my house. i was so mad that i kicked something and woke my self as i (in real life) kicked the window sill.

ive heard that dreams about teeth mean death. anyone know anything about this. im scared.

well its often difficult to tell what is a symbol and what is not. I would concentrate on the portion of the dream involving your mom. Is there often tension between you? Did you feel angry towards her the day before?

Actually I do keep a Journal, and I was not angry with my mom at all. My mom and I get along great.

This is why the dream was so strange. I'm usually pretty laid back and relaxed. I go to work with great people, I get home and listen to some music or watch tv, then eat, and then off to bed. No stress really.

In my journal I write poems, or about how funny someone was at work, or something cute my boyfriend did. I don't see why this aggression came out in my dream, because I'm pretty much happy everyday. It has been a long long time since I had a fight with someone :P

A dreamn symbol is just a symboil and links to some theme in your life. But think about it. We can talk about violence but not every sentence we use would link to violence being in our lives eg "My brother is a lot less violent since he found a new interest"

Dreams deal with themes and just because this theme of anger comes into your life it doers not mean it links to YOU. It maybe was triggered by you watching someone else. You maybe saw someone elese... that can have an effect on you and mayb be the minds way of saying "I am lucky not to have a mother who shouts and who I feel a constant need to argue with"

There are so many different ways that the word can be used that interpreting the dream just by spotting one word within it is simply ridiculous. The word soldier can be used in many different ways such as "I need to soldier on", "we have not got enough soldiers in Iraq", and "I want to be a soldier when I grow up".

So why do people expect a dream interpreter to be able to simply understand a dream by the inclusion of one symbol. In practice dream symbolism work in much the same way as ordinary dictionaries. A soldier can represent themselves but they can also be used in a wider context to show the types of qualities that a soldier exhibits (toughness and the ability to endure hardship and follow rules). So think how anyone of those symbolic meanings relates to recent events. It’s really important to use a process of association. Associate the dream symbol with real life thoughts. First ask yourself if the symbol could represent itself. Did you think of any real life soldiers the day before? But also consider the qualities that soldier’s exhibit. Did those same qualities have any relevance the day before? Did you need to follow rules and be disciplined? Did the same seem like a constant struggle? Also consider the day to come and see how that relates to possible symbolic meanings. Did you resolve to soldier on in some difficult situation?
