A Tidal Wave is coming towards me

I was sitting on the step of my house (Not my real one) which was a sort of beach house talking to an elderly woman who was concerned about some birds on the lake opposite the house. While i'm chatting to her the birds dissapear and there are now choppy waves on the lake and i say to the lady something like "Wow the lake is really choppy" and it seems unusual. After what seems only like a minute i notice a large wave now coming towards me and I tell the woman its unbelievable but I have to go as a huge wave is coming towards me, again the feeling is sort of bewilderment and confusion a bit. I get up and rush into the kitchen and can still see the wave coming and jump up onto the kitchen table to get as high up as I can however the wave doesnt make it into the house. The house is small and everything is wooden painted white however apart from the table there really is no contents! I get down and then a sort of a sinking feeling hits me as I see out the window a tidal wave coming towards me and it is so high its unbelievable and i'm thinking S##T what am I going to do I have to get out of here. I rush out the back door looking for somewhere to hide thinking I may be able to survive, then I see an old friend of the familiy in the next yard and then I think i should go and give her a hug as I've sort of come to the realisation in myself that there is no way to escape. When i look back she has gone, and so I am then im thinking about where to position myself as in do i try and hide a bit, what is it going to feel like being hit by the wave? should I go out the front and just stand there? or behind a wall, the idea being the one where the impact is not too violent. As I'm trying to decide what to do I wake up, However after this one I have another where I am talking with mates from overseas and telling them about the dream. Anyone got any ideas???

Wow. That one is jam packed with symbols. Are you feeling overwhelmed with something? What does the old woman mean to you? Who is she? Why birds? I would start with those questions and break it down from there.

A lake means a boss who has a limited business like a doctor or a lawyer...
A wave means a big money from him/her is on the way.

Funily enough I have just got a new position in the Environmental Protection department i work in that is quite a bit higher up than I am currently, more autonomous and out of the group I have been with for a year that are very supportive and we bounce alot of ideas between ourselves, my current boss is great and very supportive and encouraging and my new boss is the head of the region so yes I'm a bit nervous. The old woman in the dream I cant remember much about unfortunately its like I tuned in at that point if you know what I mean.
