Help Interpret Dream of Butterflys in Garden

Had a vivid dream of being led through a gloomy back yard where there was a garden in one corner. Once in the gate of the garden I saw a lot of exotic looking flowers and plants and many butterflys flying about. I stared around in wonder and happiness. Then out of the corner of my eye I see a very huge butterfly approach me. It was the size of a very large bird, mostly white with some other colors. The fabric of its wings appeared somewhat like fine feathers. At first I was alarmed due to its size and approach. I eventually reached out to it and petted it since it fluttered and remained so close to me. i was startled and amazed as it just seemed to follow me around sort of like a familiar pet would.

Any ideas as to what this could represent?

Im not sure; but I had a garden dream last night that im trying to understand, I did the same thing you did, but without the exotic creature, among a few other differences. It would seem that theres no negitive meaning to this, I belive that butterflies symbolize something good, but im not sure.

Thanks for your response. Based on some of my current circumstances serveral of these appear appropriate. A lot of mostly positive changes occuring in my life. also a desire to reach out to my better half makes sense as well. Appreciate your input.
