I had dreamt that my mom was telling me that any house built durring the 1000's was haunted (1000-1999) and she had told me that our house was built in 1975.(It was actually built in 1999)
So then, all of the sudden, I hear loud groans of people in pain, and see the house turn into a dingy gray looking color, and I hear myself begging to hum really loudly to mute the noises but they keep getting louder. So I run out of the house, and all of the sudden, I'm at a sophisticated resturant and my dad(which I never met) was there and his "friend" asked me if I wanted to drink some "1942" so, I said yes, and I could taste a bland flavor(like stale flavored water). Then my "dad" said 'Stop drinking!'(I don't drink in real life) and then my cousin has this botttle of hello kitty and she shows me how to pour it(Like a spraying type of bottle with orange, blueberry, and watermelon flavored alcohol) and she gives me orange, and it tastes like orange soda(In my dreams, I can taste, touch/feel and hear a lot) Then all of the sudden this so called 'god/thing' gives everyone wooden sticks that could break easily, and says 'So help me if any of you break these..' almost as if he was threatenng someone, then I woke up. |

well haunting in this sense may suggest some problem that you may feel is starting to haunt you. Do you worry sometimes about the amount that you drink since drink is mentioned)?
------------------------ Its not easy to interpret dreams. Interpreting your own dreams is a lot easier because you are aware of all the associations that you make. Interpreting the meaning of someone else's dream is very tricky. The truth is that most dreams are not really about some abstract and mystical world. Dreams are very much about the complexities of modern real life existence. They are about conflicting emotions and situations where you are making decisions without all the information you require. Yet dreams will often give no clue to the subject matter of the dream. But there are certain things you look for. If the dream is about negative emotions then see what negative emotions you have been experiencing. If you had a frustrating day the day before or there was some single frustrating incident then you have some clues to what the dreams meaning is. If you are thinking about the future or the day ahead then see the frustration as capturing feelings about the near future. But to really understand a dream you need to know that they are often about something or someone in particular. So look for particular incidents from the day before that really captured some change in your outlook. Try to make quotes about how you feel but try to start off such quotes with the word yesterday E.g. "Yesterday my friend was really annoying. She was not supporting me in my moment of need". So you can see that dreams are about something specific not some vague and abstract world. Dreams then relate to the complexities of real life. Thats what makes them so difficult to interpret. When someone interprets your dream they are making some vague and meaningless comments E.g. "you seem to be under some stress or you maybe facing some major challenge". Whilst in reality the dream maybe means something like this "Yesterday I was stressed out at work. My colleague was having a nervous breakdown". So really the dream would not be about the dreamer and its easy to make a mistake over the interpretation. Dreams are so involved in the complexities of modern reality and relationships. We have to refer to dreams in some abstract and general and vague way yet in truth they are often about something and something in particular. I am going to put my two cents in!
The haunting would speak of the past or the unknown which might tie into the dad you have not ever met. The taste of the alcohol with him was stale. . .maybe you have been wondering about him but have nowhere to go with the thought. Since you mentioned that you do not drink in real life it could tie to the experience of never having known your dad and you would not be sure it would be a good thing to meet him;like thetaste of the alcohol was not good. Not sure about the 1948 reference. . .a year of someone's birth? The flavoring your cousin shows up with makes it taste better; easier to take. The Hello Kitty connection could be linked to childhood and a more innocent time. You can relate to the orange pop. The sticks that you are warned not to break may represent a fragile relationship where you do not want to dissapoint or "break" but you are not in complete control of the outcome. Maybe you would be afraid of disappointing mom if you talked about how you have been wondering about your dad? Hope this helped. |

Yeah I think not being able to have a relationship with my dad has taken a huge toll on my life(I get extremly jealous when I hear my friends talk about how their dads are teaching them how to drive, ect) And, even though I DID tell my mom at one point in my life how I felt, I didin't feel comfortable. So I dropped it and told her I felt better. But it your interepting seemed pretty accurate, because as I read it, it kind of gave me chills, and made me a bit aware of what I was feeling inside of me. Thanks Thankyou both. |
