The Boa That Came to Dinner
I was only an invisible observer in this dream, the same way when one is watching a T.V. program. The setting was a college cafeteria and there were two young girls and a young man sitting at a booth and eating what appeared to be a salmon steak. The young man was relating to the girl who was sitting directly across from him how he had entered her dorm room and had discovered a boa constrictor there. The boa was beginning to wrap itself around the girl to suffocate and eat her. Luckily, the young man went on to say how he killed the snake and saved her life. However the girl still didn't believe him until he reached inside his shirt pocket and pulled out its fangs and gave them to her and told her that the meal wasn't actually salmon, but boa. I feel that this might make a good short story.

Hi,
Killing a snake means to overcome an enemy. eating snake flesh means receiving some big position or promotion like a politician.
