I had a very odd dream two nights ago which I can remember in some detail, though I won't describe every little thing... just what seemed important.
What basically happened was, I was a waitress in a sort-of old world pub and a gentleman comes in (though actually it was... Boris Johnson ) dressed in fine clothing (a very beautiful coat, I recall... oddly). And so my friend/boss taps me on the shoulder and says in a weird sort of Scouse accent "This gentlemen requires your attention" and gives me a wink ( So I approach the bar and the "gentleman" hands me a crisp five-pound note (which he refers to as a shilling) and I can't remember his exact words. I'm affronted by his behaviour but accept the note. He stands expectantly waiting for a positive response. Time seems to skip, and I find this exchange happening: Me - You expect this, do you? Johnson - Aye, or the note be taken from you and a fine red mark on your porcelain cheek given in return. Me - (breaking out of "character") How about this instead? I keep this note, and you simply leave without a word. Everything goes quiet and I can see the customer becoming furious, but he storms out. I'm pretty happy with myself and turn to my boss and laugh about it when the guy bursts in through the back door. I think he's going to murder me when suddenly he starts crying and falls to his knees, clutching at my peculiar dress and sobbing "I'm just a lonely old man! Humour me some, won't you, my dear maiden?!" Then I woke up. I think I'm crazy or something. Kind of worries me, actually, that I remember this dream so vividly, when it was actually pretty stupid. |

Not sure what to say about that, but something that has helped me before is to ask yourself what each item/moment etc. means to you. For example, What does the coat mean to you? There is a theory that dreams are us telling ourselves something we already know and that you can decode your dream by asking each thing you have in question what it means directly.
Not sure if that will help, it helped me once but I am not sure how valid this theory is or if it would apply to all types of dreams. |

The dream, IMO, indicates that you to be cautious in your business dealings and/or personal relationships. Be sure that you understand your obligations before you agree to enter into any written or verbal commitment or contract--written or verbal.
Boris represents a benefactor or someone in authority over you (like a boss, a teacher, a mate, or even someone in the government). He is going to try to pressure you into a deal. The exchange of money for your attention symbolizes that this deal is immoral in some way. You really don't approve of this man is trying to achieve, but you think that you can benefit by him in some way, without compromising your own principles. You're fooling yourself into thinking that you can get something from him for nothing. Be warned, by accepting the goods he has to offer, you have entered into a contract that will be very difficult to break. In the dream Boris gives you money with the expectation of favors/loyalty from you in return. When he is ready to collect, however; you pretend that you never realized that their were strings attached. The thing that he has done for you is a trifle, yet now has thinks that he has a BIG claim over you. This symbolizes that at the beginning, you thought that you were getting the good end of the deal, leaving Boris with nothing. Yet, as time progresses you realize that this deal is going to cost you a lot more than you expected, leaving you with very little in return. When Boris tries to collect and you don't pay up, he's feels betrayed and very angry. He threatens to take back what he has given you. He also threatens to strike you in the face. This is a warning that this deal, whatever it is, will lead to a serious and perhaps dangerous disagreement between you and this person. He comes back, asking for forgiveness, but he's really not wanting forgiveness because he doesn't think that he's done anything wrong. He is still asking you to humor him, meaning that he is still wanting you to fulfil your end of the deal. The message of the dream, IMO, is don't accept favors from people unless you fully intend to repay them back. Also, be especially careful in your business dealings and your personal relationships with men. Don't dangle your affections in front of other people like a lure in order to get them to do things for you . . . then act offended when they think that you (or your principles) were part of the deal. If you make a deal with the devil, he's going to do whatever it takes to get you to pay him back. The best way to avoid this is to stay on the up and up. Even if the money . . . er, I mean bread . . . smells delicious, stay out of the the devil's kitchen. |

Midnight Star, I really like your answer. I'll have to have a think about that, because it seems very likely as an answer.
One thing still puzzles me though... Why Boris Johnson?? ![]() |
