Red face The Mist and Butterflies

Hello! I've always been curious of this particular dream, and a little help would be appreciated.

I don't recall all the details exactly, but one way or another I was walking across my upstairs living room and opened the door to another room. The room at the time was sort of like a junk room where we put stuff to just sort of keep it out of the way, but in the dream it was completely empty, leaving only a dark blue carpet. However, smack in the middle of the room is this thin, wispy line stretching vertically upwards. It was maybe about the height of a fairly tall man, though it didn't reach the ceiling. It looked like mist, except completely frozen in place as though I was looking at a picture instead of the real thing. I turn my head slightly to the left, then to the right looking at this mist, but nothing about it changes. I have not actually entered the room, but am standing in the doorway watching it.

Suddenly it starts to move! A thin tendril of the mist comes out from its left side like an arm and raises to point upwards across its right 'shoulder.' (It hardly looked human, it was so thin, but I don't know how else to describe it. So at this point its' left "arm" is crossing the right shoulder). It stands still for a few short seconds before suddenly swinging it's left 'arm' back downwards to point to the floor on its left side. Then, in a giant whoosh! butterflies burst from its fingertip! Hundreds and hundreds of orange (monarch I believe) butterflies come pouring out from the mist's fingertip, and they're flying all over the room in great waves!
I wasn't scared by this, but awestruck at the sheer number. Me, still standing on the threshold, take a couple of steps backwards. Looking down on the floor, I see that some of the butterflies have landed past the threshold at my feet and are crawling towards me. I immediately turn and go back downstairs to tell someone about this, but when I come back up to the room, everything is gone, even the strange mist.

The End

Hi Sunrise,
This is an interesting dream, based on the fact that you're apprehensive about going into the spare room in the dark.
If you follow the text of the dream, it describes the movements you are trying to make in your sleep.

The reason for the dream is that your head and neck feels uncomfortable and you need to change sleeping position. The above extract describes how the dream is making you to follow the figure look from left to right, up and down and finally shake your head.

Here you actually turn over in bed and and change sleeping position.

Hello, Sunrise!
This is a great dream!
Your mind calls you attention to the room with the dark blue carpet and even puts a figure in the room that calls your attention to it...
This signifies the search on you part for that information or knowledge which the unconscious mind is willing to share. In fact it is the unconscious mind that has scripted this dream to call your attention to the fact that you need to stand by and pay attention to those messages from the unconscious (these only come via your dreams). The orange butterflies show that a metemorphisis is in progress (at the time of your lift that the dream took place). The unconscious acknowledgment was telling you that good things are to come if you stay focused and grounded. Think of what orange means to you...typically it snows progress, a new dawning, a new time in your life...something was changing in your life and a new positive direction was to take place (again if you focus on those messages and information that the subconscious mind is charged with keeping you apprised of.
Think about what was happening in your life...I sense that there was that added emphasis on staying in tune with your levels of consciousness, coupled with hard work and and working smart was the key to success as pointed out by your dream.
I would be interesting to know your thoughts...
