I had a strange dream last night.
I was out with a good friend at an unknown pub/club in the city. He wanted to show me what was upstairs so I went with him. When I got upstairs there was a church service running and everyone was dressed in white, but we didn't disturb the service and sat at the back on the second floor. The church had two levels like one of those old style theaters. The Church was big however was filled with other people. After a while some food was passed around and this was wrapped in foil. It looked like a very large bread roll but they referred to it as Pide. Everyone would take a bite from the food and pass it to the next person. When it got to me only half was left so I took a bite. When I took a bite however it tore to reveal a large cavity in the food which was filled with money. The money was a mixture of coins and notes and some cheques. I asked my friend what it meant and he wasn't sure, it had never happened to him before. But then I was drawn to one of the cheques which was made for $6. It didn't have a name written on it and I was wondering why anyone would make a cheque for $6. It just so happened that the donation bag went past as I was looking at this cheque and someone said "you aren't stealing from the donation bag are you?". Then everyone looked at me and jumped toward me. The food (and money) was taken away before everything went black. I woke up briefly in hospital before waking up to my alarm. |

Some clarification is needed.
You said that everyone was dressed in white. How did you feel about that situation...what was your take on the color white (at that moment that you encountered it). What was you feeling? Be very descriptive if you can. Example...Where you threatened by the color? Was it overbearing or dominant? Was it soothing? Did it remind you of anything? Next can you phonetically spell Pide so I can tell how it was pronounced in your dream? Finally; When you bit into the food and discovered money, how did you feel. And...Were you planning on stealing the money? These clarifications will determine how some of the key symbolism is to be taken. Thanks, Sailrmc |

But everyone was seated most of the time. It was only at the end when they got up. Quote:

I didn't steal the money however as I said I was thinking about the $6 cheque before someone asked me if I was stealing the money from the donation bag which was passed around at the same time. The money in the "pide" was not from the donation bag but seemed to be placed in the food before being passed round. The "pide" was taken away from me before everything went black. The donation bag was passed to the row in front just before the "you aren't stealing from the donation bag are you?" question was asked. The donation bag sort of skipped the row as well. It went across the back row on one side of the church then was passed to the people in front. I didn't put anything in. I probably could have stood up and put the money into it. |

This dream is about you and an awareness that has surfaced courtesy of your unconscious mind (same as dreaming mind). It concerns a belief that you have so you take a seat at an advantageous birds eye view and watch the drama.
You see yourself accepting Pide (I am thinking word play for pity). What ever this means to you is the key. I take it to mean that have been feeling a bit down as of late and you have gotten some food for thought showing that you graciously accept anyone's (including yourself) feelings who will feel sorry for you. To you there is a pay of for doing this...at least an emotional pay off. It does feel good when people are emotionally attentive to us when we are down. It does take a turn when you hope for a pay back in a different way...most likely fantasizing about sexual pay back of some time. Now I have to say that six can also be symbolic for harmony or peace...in which case you would consider the payback to be the harmonious or good feeling that you get when you realize that someone feels sorry for you. You might say that this dream is about hoping to get a sexual pay back because someone feels sorry for you. sailrmc Last edited by sailrmc : 02-26-2008 at 10:02 AM. |
