Alligator in the water dream

I have been working through this dream. I would love input from others.


I am outside, feels like my space/house/home. There is a clear pool; it is a more natural looking pool vs. a swimming pool and it is clear as far as the eye can see. The edge is in my space however I can not see the opposite side but I feel as though it is all mine. The edge or shore is natural, with trees shrubs and large rocks that move down into the water and some sand, very peaceful. I do not see it but feel as though my house/home is slightly above it on the property.

I notice that there are kittens at the edge of the pool, all are wet and looking uncomfortable as wet cats will. Some are in the water, not far out, but in the water. I feel like I must save them and go down to the waters edge. It is only then that I see a very large alligator, with the feeling that there may be more. At first there is a feeling of fear and a little desperation that I must save the kittens. I move out onto a large boulder that creates a large shelf under the water that I can walk out on, starting about knee high and increasing in depth to just above my waist at its edge. I begin collecting the kittens, about a half dozen of them, and setting then on the rocks/boulders at the edge of the water as the alligator moves closer to me. I stand my ground putting myself between her and the kittens; I am concerned but not really afraid. It is about this time that I recognize that I am dreaming but feel that I must continue to dream and face the alligator. As we are facing each other I am somehow communicating with her. The message between us seems to be clear for both of us; she is there and if the kittens are left to swim out into the water she will eat them however, she will not challenge me.

The overall feelings are not panic or overwhelming fear. The water/pool is clear, serene and mine. I am not afraid to swim there but I am watchful and know that she is there. She is respectful and will not challenge me, I am more powerful. I feel the need to watch my pool and be present to protect whatever else wants to swim there or use the pool.

Hi,
A pool means a job place a big one.Clear water means life or money or science because everything is alive with water.
Kittens are girls, swimming means working.
Alligator means a wild silly person quiet for the time being but a potential danger there.
