The Last Supper

Last Tuesday,i had a dream that my FIL(who passed away 1 yr. ago)was showing me a life size picture of The Last Supper...then i saw him(my FIL) in full length view,then I saw my Dad in full length view and my FIL kept saying "It's all the same" over & over & over.What could this mean?
My Dad passed away 3 days later and this dream has been bothering me since then.Any ideas?

Hi,
Two forgotten or impossible job for you will revive.Dreaming a deceased person alive means something will revive.
Dreaming about passed away father if his clothing was decorated means your life situation will be better.

The mourning mind will create images of comfort and of curiosity in order to help us cope with our loss. You mentioned your dad passed away a few days after the dream. I am sorry for your loss; had he been sick and his passing was not a surprise? Maybe your mind was preparing your for his passing and depending on your belief system you were equating that with your dad then meeting your father-in-law in the afterlife. They would be in the same place in your heart. Unless the phrase has specific meaning to you and/your father I wouldn't let the dream bother you.

well I believe in premonitions. This seems linked to your own fathers death. We seem to be able to tap into the future . Dreams will link to it is ways similar to this

He is the ally of President Bush and is often accused of doing everything he says and because of this has been accused of being a poodle. So maybe the dream captures some theme with a similar "yes man" theme. But Tony Blair could also have different meanings. He has virtually said that he will resign in the spring and there was much speculation about this and about how he should go about resigning. Maybe the dream captures a similar theme in your own life eg "I am thinking of leaving my job. But if I tell my boss it may cause trouble for me. I might just leave it as long as possible".

Therefor its possible to list many different symbolic meanings. Any one of these could be correct. The first association that comes to mind is not always the correct one. Its a matter of trying out different theories and then seeing if they fit the situation or feelings within your life. If one seems to work then try working in the other dream symbols.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. The wound is still so fresh, I hope nothing I write adds to the pain. But, I do agree with the last poster--this dream sounds like a premonition to me.

"It's all the same." Was there something similar in the way your FIL and father passed away?

"The Last Supper." Could mean many things--a warning that like Jesus at the Last Supper about to leave his disciples, your father was about to leave you.

It could also be related to his reception the Sacraments . . . the Last Supper automatically makes me think of the Eucharist. It could also mean the Final Annointing or a death bed conversion . . . compare your FIL's death with your fathers. It may even be something more mundane--full-length view--the way you described your father's appearance--makes me think of a funeral home and a coffin, perhaps one with a scene of the Last Supper on it.

Or it could be your FIL telling you from beyond that what you see in the picture of the Last Supper really happened. It's the same, true story in heaven as was told on earth. As you can tell, I'm only speculating. Maybe something I wrote will resonate, maybe not. Regardless, your dream does sound like a death warning of some kind.

If this dream was truly a prophetic one, then God sent it to you. Maybe, in time, this knowledge will bring you comfort.

I think it was a "death warning"...
For one thing,i realize now that during the funeral service the Pastor talked about the Last Supper...that was kinda the theme for the funeral...
For another,i was the one who picked out my Father-in-laws casket last year and i forgot that it had a plaque of the Last Supper on it...
And lastly,both my father-in-law and my Dad had cancer.....that's what they both died from....
