Default Avoiding Huge Waves

Hi all,
Over the last couple of weeks I have several dreams of my family (my wife and my 3 young boys) on a beach, but we are always in front of a single story small building, but sat on the beach.
I can see some of my family but cannot see the others but I know that they are their. I then see a huge wave coming in from the sea and other people on the beach seem to be unaware of this huge wave. So I tell my family to lay down on the beach and I get hold of a set of blinds that I have no idea were it came from and cover the family over with the blinds. As the huge waves comes over us, the wave seems to go everywhere but does not touch me or any of my family but I can hear the sound of the wave crashing over us. As the wave passes and the water goes back into the sea I sit up and look up to the sea only to find another bigger huge wave coming in. It is so big that the wave makes a shodow on the land. So again I get the blinds and cover my family over and again we all lay down, again the wave goes over us but no water never comes near us, but I hear the sound of the wave crashing over us. Agin we are all safe and the water goes back into the sea.

And the dream ends.

Anyone any ideas what this all means?

Thankyou josel

Hi
You probably have had concerns about being able to take care of your family, the fact that you were able to do this throughout your dream shows that you have that ability and should not be concerned about it anymore.
Water cleanses all that it washes over.

Hi,
These are dreams that are designed to block out noise. If you live near an airport, a buisy main road or railway, you need dreams like this to keep you from waking up.

Thankyou josel

Hi Josel,
Thanks for your post. My take on your dreams is that you are trying to protect yourself and your family from some noise.

The above quote indicates that you are trying to puul the covers over your head. You might be feeling cold, or the noise might come from some appliance in the house.
In sleep a person often makes the movements the dream suggests. So I think you move about when you have these dreams. However the dream only concerns you and how you feel in the sleep. Your wife and boys are there in the dream to add some more awareness of your situation.
Why the building and the beach scene? I think your subconscious uses one of your previous experiences that comes nearest to the situation in your sleep. The noise of the waves, perhaps shielding from the wind?
I may be wide of the mark as I don't know your situation and experiences. However I know that dreams are always trying to help the sleeper and they concern only the sleep they happen in.
Cheers Wolfjk

This dream shows that you are quite adept at protecting those that you love in some special way. The dream shows that in real life overwhelming situations come your way from time to time and somehow you find a way to shelter those who count on you, those who you love. There is no indication as to what the overwhelming encounters are but you are already well aware of what this dream is about.
