Default Dying kittens

My cat keeps showing up in my dreams, but with a slightly different look. The first time he appeared, he led me somewhere, and then vanished. This time, me and my brother were examining these kittens. For what, I don't know. Then I realized that one of the kittens looked like my grown cat, and I thought it was him. He suddenly stopped breathing, and I got really scared and upset and tried to revive him, and it worked for a few minutes, but then he died. I remember being really upset, crying, and blaming myself, but my brother didn't seem bothered, which is weird, because he is normally very affectionate toward that cat.

Then my cat appeared before us, skinned.

I can't remember much more of the dream, but it was all very strange and unrelated.

I know that this doesn't seem like a very substantial dream, but I thought it weird that I dreamed about so many things, but this is the only part of the dream I can remember.
For the past few nights, I've been dreaming in scenes, and most of the dream doesn't connect. For that reason, I have also had trouble remembering.

Hi,
A cat means a kind person or a thief person.
If died such a person is in death danger.
His skin means his money that he will lose all.
Let's wait and see what is on the way.
Good luck.

Default Dreams of dying kittens

Hi dreamers
Weird thing I woke up all crying Ive always loved cats and especially kittens since i was a lil girl. Well I dreamt tonight about finding these little tiny helpless starving almost dead dying kittens and two of them were dead after gentle picking them up one by one crying in the dream i placed them in a baby basket i found amount the furniture and stuff in the abandoned house i was in. I knew i was there specifically to save kittens but i didn't know how bad it was until i opened one room where they alll were about 5 kittens and one very tiny faille momma cat he almost looked like a kitten she was to emaciated. anyways, its so upsetting how real the dream was I'm still a lil upset and stressed woke up all messed up by this cried for a good 15 min. I could see their faces and can even describe the kittens none i ever knew before. In real life i mean the one that sticks out in my mind is one with huge brown eyes and brown short body hair with a tiny but FLUFFy lil brown and black tail. it was so weak when i picked it up and its lil tongue was hanging out like dehydrated i wanted to help the kittens so badly. Why do i dream so intensely about saving kittens? so odd how it can affect you cause in real life you know kittens get killed and starve that's so sad!. ugh anyways i just needed someone to tell it too that wont think im insane..lol

I understand your dream about your cat that you see in many ways getting killed or dying. you miss her you felt helpless when you witnessed her or his death, so now your mind wanders there in dreams when she crosses your mind . you can never truly forget a loved pet its a powerful bond between animals and humans.I understand i lost a cat a year ago and i cant even think of it too much or i'll cry still..even cats grieve over their siblings or fellow cat friend or parent. im not kidding they actually change after losing one of their own.

Much Love too all the dreamers hope someone replies.. Im new hi all Im wickedlilmisty.

Hi QueenMab,

I'm wondering reading this if you ever had to dissect a dead cat for biology class? The dream makes me remember having to do that. Ick! I was thirty something at the time too, had gone back to college, even brought that dead skinned cat home and had it in our spare refrigerator in the shed out back so I could study the organs for a test the next day. IEWWW! My poor kids still remember that, too. The stench of formaldehyde was overpowering. I could see having had a dream like this at the time, as I also had live cats back then, before I developed an allergy to them from having too many! I like cats, but actually prefer dogs, but my ex didn't like dogs. I think dogs are more companionable and wickedly smart about non-verbal communication.

Mostly, it sounds as if you are simply worrying about the possibility of your cat dying, thinking back to when it was a kitten, noticing how quickly a cat grows and ages compared to a human. They certainly don't live as long, so we see the whole life span kind of compacted in time with our pets. It may be that your brother is more accepting of death and less emotional, but then that's kind of normal for guys to be less emotional. Why it then appeared skinned, I don't know. It lost all that cuddly appeal that way, I'm sure.

One thing I know; it's easy to get just as attached to a new pet! My dog Shaman died last year, and then I got my new dog, Lily. She's a sweetheart just like he was!

Hi Misty,

You'll probably get the most responses if you post your dream on a new thread, but I'll answer this here.

In your case, I think the kittens are some new part of your own inner feminine side, but that you don't yet know how to raise them, you're too frail and emaciated in some way, maybe not knowledgeable enough in what you need to do to get these kittens raised and healthy.

Now, I imagine you might be scratching your head! When I say your inner feminine, I'm referring to right brain functions, such as intuition, insight, art awareness, music awareness, imagination, and the left side of your body control. Have you started working on any new projects related to any of those areas, but maybe don't feel that you have the skills to see your ideas through? It might be something like an art project, or it might be something like dreamwork if you're just starting out.

What we need to do when that happens is enlist the help of our inner masculine, our left brain, who controls language and number skills, reasoning, scientific skills, and our right body side. Generally, this side of our minds is better at learning the skills necessary to complete projects. For example, I make jewelry, and I get lots of great ideas in my mind, but I need first to see if there are any new skills needed to actually make then into something well-made. I might need to learn to string beads properly, or to know what to do if the hole sizes in beads going into the piece are different, how to finish the piece off without a lot of thread showing, how to make sure it's durable so the customer won't be disappointed because it breaks on the third wearing, all those things matter! The male side is best at learning them.

Then I can move back to the female side, and if you see my necklace is a kitten, I have the skills to bring forth a beautifully made healthy kitten! One my customers will have for years and be able to enjoy. It's true for all different kinds of projects, really, paintings, writing music. We need to be able to move back and forth to both sides of our inner selves to create what we truly want to bring forth into the world.

I hope that helps!

Default hello again

Ive had dreams like this since i was a a child. im not sure its only about my adult fears and shortcomings. but i have been told that some people who have seen or experienced things in childhood usually have these types of dreams about saving kittens. From Real professionals ..sleeping was very difficult for me for a while there and i did seek out therapy to try anything i could to get a normal nights rest.. thank goodness it did improve but tonight for example weird i slept about 3 hours.lol

There's nothing wrong with seeking therapy, Misty! I went through a clinical depression in the late seventies and early eighties, and saw a psychoanalytically oriented psychiatrist. He was a Real Professional. I learned a great deal from him, and from minoring in psychology in college, and reading my way through everything in print by Freud and Jung at that time. Psychology is interesting, for sure. Though I am not a Real Professional, else I'd probably not have time to sit here posting interpretations on the internet.

That makes sense too, about saving kittens meaning saving your own child self from hurtful events in the past. Dream symbols can have more than one meaning, you see, it's not as simple as only having one meaning. I think sometimes, dreamers here get a tad impatient about conflicting interpretations, because they haven't learned that yet!

Unhappy Also dying kitten dreams

Hello,

I have also had these horrible dream about trying to save dying kittens. Your dream was so familiar to me. I have been having them for a few years now. I have always loved cats. I am ironically an art student so that explanation seems to make some sense. I feel artistically frustrated as I try to find my own unique painting "style" for my college senior show next spring. I recently lost a cat very precious to me. Even the slightest reminding of him makes me feel horribly depressed and I have been on anti-anxiety medicine for this. In the 2 dreams I have had about dying kittens since my cat recently died, that cat is also in the dream trying to help me save the kittens by offering his belly, but obviously HE is a boy and couldn't help either. I keep looking for food and there is none. I pick them up and they are so horribly frail and dying and theres nothing I can do and they slowly start to die. Its horrible. So so horrible. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
