I had a dream last night that the guy I have been seeing was bashed up.
I was in the room trying to call him and he wouldnt answer his phone, than he turned up and had blood, cuts and brusies on him. And he had a big gash on his neck. Does anyone know what this means? |

well i tend to link dreams very specifically to events and feelings from the day before. Thats most important. So look towards this when trying to solve the dream. Most dreams link to what you are actually feeling... things that you should be able to recognise. They are just symbolic versions of these feelings. Often difficult to interpret but they do link to this specific time period the day before..
PHONES suggest a link with communication. That you want to perhaps tell himn something and its difficult for you. Dreams sometimes use little devices. Maybe he is beaten up as a way of letting you show certain feelings. It takes us to a situation where we can show how caring we are and how protective we are. It merely shos that you want to show your own carubng natuyre towards him. On the other hand he maybe actually more vulnerable. That you spot this within him. You see weaknesses in him and want top help show that to him and share that with him. If you can help talk through his own weaknesses then you can take the relationship to a deeper level. ------------------------ It is almost impossible to interpret someone else's dream. Dream use symbols many of which have a personal meaning. A particular symbol may have many varied meanings some of which are positive and some of which are negative. Take for instance a soldier whose appearance in a dream may symbolise a need for discipline. But it is confusing because that soldier may link to you and your situation but it may also be about someone else's need for discipline. It may also be a dream about events that have just passed but equally it is possible that the dream will refer to a need for discipline in some new situation. There are so many possibilities a dream interpretation can become meaningless and vague. Yet there is often a very clear message coming through. Yet the dream interpreter cannot make the connections tat the dreamer can make. It is impossible to know what happened to the dreamer the day before or to know what issues have been on the dreamers mind. Its impossible to know fully of the dreamers past. A dream interpretation is at best a guess. But one helpful tip is to see symbols as words. The soldier stands for discipline. Try to see how that word featured in the events of the previous day. Think about the day to come and how that word features in your mindset right now. What long term issues feature the theme of discipline. Try to establish any connection whatever. Its a matter of building up clues. Dreams tend to be firstly and foremost about the dreamer themselves and reflect what is happening within the layers of ones own consciousness. The guy you have been seeing likely depicts the masculine energy within your self that you are currently in 'relationship' with. Our masculine energy is reference to our thinking self, our beliefs, attitudes and forms of behaviour that we express.
Your dream suggests that you have been beating yourself up for actions taken, or thoughts that you have had recently and this is draining your life force 'blood, cuts etc'. Its like when we think in a certain way that we dont like but cant help we get annoyed withourselves, your boyfriend will reflect more what these tendencys are that you have projected on to him, for example how would you describe your boyfriends beliefs, actions and attitudes, by writing these down it will help you to identify your own beliefs attitudes and forms of behaviour that you share with this guy, and are in realtionship to within yourself. The characters in your dream come from owns own unconscious self and we as the dreamers and creators of our dream characters assign them the role they play in our dreams, and the voices with which they speak, everything comes from within us first! Subsequently the laws of nature and attraction bring to us in our lives people and situations that mirror our own consciouness and unconsciousness, life becomes a self reflecting mirror of our very own psyche and soma there is no one in our lives that are not meant to be there they all fit some role that can help us get in touch with our own essence. Dreams will often use images from our lives to get our attention as the recent imagery will be more potent and hold an emotional charge, so for example if a male friend were to be bashed in real life either prior to the dream or sometimes just after the dream (which incidently will lead people to believe that they have had a precognitive dream) it is not so much informing them of the literal events in ones life though you can interpret at this level, but rather the events in ones life and dreams are revealing something more symbolic as to why you attracted these events into your life in the first place, what are they showing you about yourself about your own energies? The gash in the neck again is symbolic of expression and self expression, here is where your lifeforce is being drained in your masculine energies, it may be someething your thinking but are not saying for fear of rejection or being abandoned by others, peers or society itself. Just some food for thought best of luck Blueberry Last edited by blueberrysummer : 02-24-2008 at 08:16 AM. |
