a simple dream but what does it mean

I was walking into school, holding a calculator in my left hand.
A girl jogs up from behind me, takes it out of my hand, and jogs off.
I follow her playfully and reclaim my calculator.

I've looked up 'calculator' in the dream dictionary...
The presence of a calculator "suggests that you need to thoroughly think through some problem and carefully evaluate your choices... [or] [Y]ou need to lay out some sort of plan or outline... The symbol may also be a metaphor for someone who is calculating, cunning and scheming."

I don't see how the above descriptions can apply.
What is my subconscious trying to express?

well the dream maybe using this girl as a symboil for someone else. Someone whom you have an infatuation with now... who maybe you are going slightly off.. maybe this girl is somewhat calculating.

A "calculating" person means someone who is always looking to get what he/she wants, sometimes at the expense of others.

Is there someone in your life that fits that description?

Or perhaps, since the girl was jogging by you, maybe that means that the infatuation was fleeting, or was a passing phase?
You have "evaluated" the situation, and found that she was not the one for you, or she has moved on? You go after her to get the calculator. MAybe you hoped you can capture her interest?
