waiting out a storm

Hi. I had dream that somehow seems symbolic - can anyone help me with the interpretation? Here it is - thanks
i was with someone - don't remember who- in a wooded yet sandy area with a wide path to a beach which was quite far away yet visible. there was a storm, a snow storm on the beach. it sort of affected us but not really. it was really blowing on the beach but somehow we were OK. where we were, the weather was warmer (sweater type), a lot less windy and we could see the sand and the trees. so the storm was far away but also impacting us, prohibiting us from moving. . we were in a tent waiting for the storm to pass so that we could see the waterline to see where we were going . the waterline would appear and then disappear. we stayed in the woods for a couple of nights waiting for the storm the last night we saw more of the shoreline but decided to wait till morning before we set out - that's when i woke up.

Im not an expert at interpreting dreams at all but what I got out of that is that someone is protecting you and you are going to be ok. Whatever you are worried about there is saftey around you and you will eventually ge tthere and that someone is just with you to let you know your not alone.
