Red face Running Away from Life

Hello everyone. I am having a hard time interpreting this dream I had last night. Any input would be greatly appreciated. The dream was this. I am at school when my best friend and I decide we were going to run away. We could not take it anymore all the things going on at home. Our situations were the same and so we started running off the school campus. When we looked back we say two people chasing after us.

They were two people we were very familiar with. It was my best friend's mom and our math teacher. We ran faster as if they were going to kill us or something which is what their intentions were all along. We hopped into this foreign car and started the engine. Jenna and I got into a quick argument deciding who was going to drive. We just needed to get out of there fast... before something bad happened. I was like you know how to drive. "Why don't you drive." She said no I trust you just drive and get us out of here."

Well I did not know how to drive yet, nor was I old enough, but she did and believe it or not I wound up driving us to a hotel. It was a disaster I couldn't even keep my hands on the wheel. We were all over the road, and you know at 15 you can only get your permit, so I was clueless. We almost crashed five times. When we arrived at the hotel we snuck into a room. The scene changed rapidly.

The hotel rooms are classrooms and the teacher and my friend's mom has followed us again. As we are going back to the car I turn my head to find my teacher and my friends's mom standing in the courtyard. Her mom has this huge needle and is shooting up our teacher with it. I just remember looking at my teacher, and watching him convulse rapidly almost as if she made him take poison... possible potassium cyanide.

Then I woke up.... I anyone can help me interpret this dream I would really be happy. By the way I wanted to give another thanks to all of the wonderful people who have helped me interpret my dreams.

It seems fairly evident that you are uncomfortable about some aspect of your education and it looks as if your have a contemporary confidant who subscribes to your sentiments and you would each like to unburden your problem so you dream about escaping and the 'ugly sisters' chasing you so a touch of the Cinderella/Cinderfella symptoms here.

Let us turn your post on its head and what does it reveal? It tells of a highly intelligent youth who is eloquent, has a good command of the native tongue, is perceptive, candid, and self-confident but, whose schooling is not providing the ethos to educate you to your full potential and so frustration and ambiguity prevails. Whatever it is that is upsetting try to keep focused on your eduction and do not allow those detractors to interfere. When you subsequently get to university you will probably find the challenge and the freedom you need to advance academically.

Thank you so much. I feel you are right on target every time you give me an interpretation. Are you an expert at this stuff? If you are I commend you for doing a very good job. I am learning a lot from my dreams, and this website just makes everything better. I have been noticing a shift in my sleeping patterns, like having prophetic dreams. It's pretty cool but I hope it's normal. Anyway hope all is well

God Bless,

Mimi

Thanks for the feedback Mimi and glad to know that I got close but there are those occasions when one is wide of the mark or possibly the dreamer is in denial, who knows? I am hardly an expert, just an amateur enthusiast with many years of life experience behind me.

Hi,
If one dreamt he was running away means he will be forgiven or he will overcome the enemy.
Because Moses dreamt he was running away from Pharaoh and later he overcame the Pharaoh.
If one dreamt men were running away from women means he is afraid of a big man.
To run away if he didn't scream means happiness but if he screamed means a disaster is on the way.

well often we make judgfments about life. Say at school you judge how you behave ... you realise that you behave badly and sometimes seem unable and unwilling to learn. You also judge the teachers. If thsi dream was about school then it would link to some situation where you realise that there are faults on both sides.

Yet dreams are highly symbolic. the dream may indeed be about somnething completely different. yet that realisation about your own inabilities.. the wayward driving... shows that you realise that its not an easy job. Dreanms can link to our own conceptual feelings.. the ideas that we are forming about life... did you feel when you woke up any strong views about school.. did you realise how you act? Where there any moments of realisation about the difficulties of schoolwork?

------------------
There is evidence to show that dreams can talk in a way that our waking minds understand. It just chooses not too. People have reported dreams which have included the literal interpretation of the dream. In one dream the dreamer heard a voice which stated that the dream meant "he was going to take a relaxed attitude to some problem that could blow up at any time". The symbols where very much consistent with this message. Dreams use quotes and questions when they get the opportunity. So why does the dream mind not interpret itself properly all the time? Dreams seem to be more of an internal process. Short term memory banks are switched off during dreams. We are not meant to remember them so why bother translating them.
