Can Anyone please help me with this dream I had last night.
I dreamed that the end of time was coming and i was in a big room on the beach with many people that I did not know. We were waiting for the end of time and there was high winds and the threat of a tidal wave. I looked out of a window and saw warriors in the forms of giant clouds above the ocean. They were fighting with swords. Someone I couldn't see kept coming to the door and asking for different ones in the room to go out with them. Some of these people would return later and some wouldn't, but no one in the room was concerned about the ones leaving and everyone was very calm about the whole situation. Finally we went to sleep and when we woke up the next morning, everything was calm and serene as if nothing had happened. That's when I woke up. |

Would you currently be in poor health and are worried about your condition?

Hi there,
I dreamed that the end of time was coming and i was in a big room on the beach with many people that I did not know. The "beach" as a dream location can point to a place near the unconscious. The unconscious is often symbolized by "water". From such an observation point, processes going on in the unconscious can be observed. We were waiting for the end of time and there was high winds and the threat of a tidal wave. I looked out of a window and saw warriors in the forms of giant clouds above the ocean. They were fighting with swords. The "End of Time" can point to a transition. One "age" is ending, and a new one is about to begin. This can be in the personal realm, but I think your dream may have some collective implications, i.e. for our whole civilization a time is ending, and a new one is about to begin. There are "titans" so to speak which fight in the realm of the air. "Wind" and clouds can often point to the realm of the spirit, i.e. that there is a "spiritual war" going on right now. This can include new concepts which want to manifest. These spiritual concepts could represent a collective new outlook on certain spiritual things like religion, or the meaning of life etc. . All this is going on in the transpersonal realm, and you are just in your beach house observing it. Someone I couldn't see kept coming to the door and asking for different ones in the room to go out with them. Some of these people would return later and some wouldn't, but no one in the room was concerned about the ones leaving and everyone was very calm about the whole situation. This could perhaps mean that people are asked to follow a new spiritual path. For the ones leaving completelty, this could also include death. Interestingly, dreams sometimes seem to say that a bhuddistic outlook on life seems true, namely that we all have several incarnations in which the immortal soul collects experience in the world of matter. Some "may return later", which could point to a new incarnation, while others will not return, perhaps ascending or reincarnating on another place in the universe. Although "death" seems to be implicit in the dream, the dream itself says that "no one is concerned about it", perhaps rightly so, because there is an immortal soul. Finally we went to sleep and when we woke up the next morning, everything was calm and serene as if nothing had happened. That's when I woke up. The "new day" then could represent "new times to come", and although there seems to be the "end of the world" implied from one viewpoint, it is actually only a transition and the world will remain there, calm and serene. It also could imply that important things are going on in the depths of the unconscious from which normal daylight consciousness rarely sees something, except through dreams like this. But the effects of these unconscious changes may manifest on a visible level someday. So overall, the "end of the world" dream here seems to represent a description of changes going on in the collective unconscious, which seem to affect us all. And although it may look like the "end of the world"; it is really the beginning of a "new time", which the dream tells. Does this make sense to you? Good luck Hermes |

My own thoughts are very similar to those that Hermes has brought to the forefront, and like Hermes, I believe this could indicate spiritual renewal, however it is most certain that there is a psychological renewal taking place. It is true that one can seldom undergo lasting and meaningful psychological change unless there is a spiritual foundation shift (note, that spiritual does not necessarily mean religious).
I see this as a formal declaration by the unconscious that the dreamer is in the midst of change, following that which amounts to an internal struggle. Now the dream does not indicate if the dreamer has gone or is going to a new station or stage of life, in which change is needed...OR...if the dreamer is changing from within, to allow for improvement in his life. Either way, major aspects of the dreamers persona (those attributes that collectively make him the person that he is), are being reevaluated, keeping in tact those, that are in the best interest for the dreamer (at present time). Keep in mind that the dreaming mind does on occasion, tend to over-dramatize, in order to get the attention of the dreamer (so as to bring the message to consciousness). With that said, This could range from a simple situation in which internal struggle, itself, was the cause of the dream, or, this dream could indicate the presence a new and major phase in life, one to which the dreamer is adapting. Example; If the dreamer were to be changing his behavior to facilitate the business world as opposed to the behavior he implemented as a student, he might need to weed out aspects of "who he was" as a student. It is certain that the unconscious mind is implementing change by allowing the appropriate strong aspects in character and beliefs to override those "weaker aspects" that have been in use. What is the significance of this dream, and why would such a dream be scripted, cast and presented by the unconscious mind (same as dreaming mind)? This is an acknowledgment dream showing the adaptive processes of the mind that take place automatically. In our waking or conscious mind it is good to know that these processes occur. Through this awareness, we gain a sense of confidence that allows us to bravely embrace necessary change in our waking life. The ultimate result is "balance within". sailrmc Last edited by sailrmc : 02-15-2008 at 06:04 AM. |
