Proposal w/ring

Hi, new to the forums and need some help. On the 8th at about 5AM, I dreamt my son's father came to visit. He arrived in the middle of the night, waking my son and myself.

He'd told me that he told the boys (sons from his first wife) about Youngest Son (our son) so I asked him, "How? What did they say?" He said he told them there was a girl with a baby that he loved. I just looked at him and he said, "Yes, I love you." I leapt at him and hugged him as we fell together onto the bed. My first thought was "He loves me!"

I'm not really quite clear how it came about but he then had a ring box with a silver pitted antique band which morphed into a beautiful diamond in a white (which I would never pick) and yellow gold setting as I put it on my finger. He held the matching band in his hand for a total of three rings in the dream.

Someone (my initial feeling was my step-nephew but this could be inaccurate) was sitting there and asked to see my ring so he could make fun of it and I promptly defended its beauty, though it's not what I would have picked.

Anyway I asked him what the boys thought and he told me Eldest Son was in favor and I could ask Middle Son myself. "You brought my boy with you?!?!?! Why didn't you tell me?!?!?!" Between that, his love, and the rings, I was in ecstasy.

There was also a huge Rottweiler that I cautioned to be careful with my young son 'cause Youngest is Mama's baby and still very small (just turned 2).


Helpful background: I love him very much and am still convinced he also loves me. At one point, he believed we were Soul Mates much as I still do now but circumstances (the unexpected Youngest Son) have conspired against us. I have been helping him with a cross-country move and we have the intimate daily conversations about everything and nothing one has with their spouse.

He hasn't said anything that would indicate to me that he loves me still or wanted to marry me; in fact, I would say the opposite. He's determined never to marry again though, knowing him, I'm sure he will at some point.

So while I would dearly love for it to mean a proposal, it's probably just that he'll do me a favor?

I don't know; it seemed awfully real in the dream and I occasionally dream true. I found out about my son because I dreamt of a baby boy; that's what led me to FOUR pregnancy tests ('cause I couldn't believe the first result!)
