help me with my dream!!!

ok, just so you can kinda know the background of maybe why i am having a dream like this. I live out in the country and in texas, so we have mountain lions close and around our house. I have never seen one, but its not like they are rare or anything. But i am terrified of them and other wild animals, along with the dark (i have reasons, lol). A couple of months ago, there were people bailing hay in a field right next to our house, about 3 in the morning, and they saw a mountain lion run across it (this is like 10 feet from our house). and that kinda freaked me out. well, the next week, another man told my mom that at like 4 in the afternoon he saw one going across another field on the opposite side of our house heading this way. Well ever since i have been totally freaked out, not just of the dark now, but to pretty much go outside anytime. And i have a dog named lucy and im scared she is gonna get hurt one of these days becasuse she stays outside all the time. Ok, here we go. 2 nights ago I had a dream that our dogs, we have 3, but only one is really mine, were barking, so i got up and looked out my window to see what was going on, this was in the night, and i saw lucy and another dog running to our house from the field, then i saw the other one behind them, but right behind that dog was an albino mountain lion (weird, i know!!) and it chased my dogs and hurt lucy. then i woke up. Last night i was dreaming and i hear my dogs barking again, then it kinda skips and i thought my dog was sitting outside looking at me so i go outside and try to call her inside and the figure that i had seen in the trees was a black mountain lion. It turns around, looks at me, and then runs off into the trees. Then i woke up.

I just want to know why im having these dreams. it wasnt weird really the first time, but after i had the second dream i got a little freaked out!!

Personally, I think that the entire thing has to do with your problem of fear. My guess would be that you have never expressed your feelings about the lions to anyone, and have never done anything to protect yourself from them should the need ever arise (I doubt it highly).
One's subconscious is just a major expression of one's inner desires and the embodiement of one's primal feelings, minus the common sense factor (the soul, or conscious). Your dreams are merely the personification of that fear you harbor toward these mountain lions.
In order to help calm yourself so that these dreams stop recurring, take a few preventative measures. First, make sure you are protected at night, which I am sure you are--no wild animal is going to get you there, let alone when you are outside with other people. Just tell yourself that they will not come near you. If it would help, research the matter and find out the statistics of people being mauled by a lion--chances are it would be slim--and what attracts them. Knowledge is power and reassurance, and just knowing a little more about them may calm your mind. Merely remember to keep a rational eye out for them (I am not suggesting become a paranoid schizophrenic about it or start carrying a weapon) and you will feel better about the whole deal, and will most likely sleep better.
