Good morning everyone! I found this forum while I was googling dream interps. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Last night I had the most odd dream. My mother, Father and I ( both parents I am estranged from as they are dreadful people ) moved to Alaska... In my dream I remember being horrified at the house, not scared of it, I just hated it, and I was disgusted that I was there with my parents. In that house there was a strange red Velvet cat that when I asked my mother where he came from she said the owners left him there and he was 11 years old... then she said he ate reindeer brains, which was very strange. I remember following the cat into the basement or cellar and him disappearing or me looking for him. He wasn't malicious, I was just intrigued by his colour the best way I can describe it is as a deep burgundy colour that you might find at Christmas time. The point that sticks out most is this red cat. Can anyone help? Here is some background I am 24 happily married and currently 25 weeks pregnant which could explain the weirdness of my dreams... we are also deciding on relocating within my husbands company from here in Rhode Island.. To Arizona. I am sure that is where alaska comes into play. But what about the red cat? I want to add that I am a huge cat lover as well. we have two black cats |

Often when we dream of houses, the house represents ourself...this dream has alot to do with your strained relationship with your parents in my opinion.

I associate red with anger or passion, it might have been a symbol for your emotions about your parents.

Hi,
Going to a freezed place means there will be some sorrows and much money as well as the snow means money but that causes troubles. A cat means a theif person as he has eaten a deer brain means he has stolen someone's money.( brain means someone's hidden money). But in other dreams a cat may mean a kind woman. Dreaming a cat after sunrise means a 6 days illness. Good luck.

The cat does seem very important and I also think that fact that you follow the cat into the cellar or basement is important also.
Houses are generally accepted as dream symbol for yourself - each room or area relating to an aspect of yourself. I believe such things to a point but I also think it is important to ask yourself about what is going on in your dream. For instance, what do you associate with Alaska? It doesn't have to be anything logical or "real". Perhaps you have been there before and had a particular type of experience there or have heard people relaying about a type of experience they have had in Alaska. The cat is 11 years old - can you think of anything you witnessed or experienced either at 11 years of age or 11 years ago? But the biggest issue, as I see it, in your dream is: why are you at your parent's house? What is the connection still to your parents? Maybe you are thinking more of them now that you are shortly to become a parent yourself? Maybe you are thinking of all the things that you witnessed them do as a child, that you have decided you won't do with or to your own child? Some thoughts, L |

Thank you everyone for your imput! I should elaborate on my relationship with my parents. My father is/was a child molester. Hence why I do not talk to them, my mother took him back even after he was convicted and admitted to what he had done to my sister and I... When I was 11 or 12 that is when i finally told my mother what was going on. When I think of Alaska I just think snow, nothing bad. Maybe subconciously I am scared of the big move that might happen for my husband and I and the uncertainty of it. Impending parenthood isn't an issue because we already have a 3 year old daughter... this is our second. Just the cat stands out very much, because it was so odd... the red velvet was just weird.
