Dreaming about things I hate

When I woke this morning and recalled my dream, I realized that it had several things in it that I do not like. It started out with me closing at work. I never close, as I own my business and work morning hours so I can be home with children after school.
Then I had a meeting after work--another thing I detest. The meeting was about a committee I am on that I also wish I wasn't on. In order to get to the meeting, I had to ride a horse (which I also do not like). before I got on the horse, I was chased by wasps. (Hate Bees!)

At the meeting, I found out that my sister (whom I don't hate, but we have no relationship, as she is not a nice person) wanted to be on the committee. I told the person in charge that she should say I am the head of the committee, so that my sister would not want to join--as she hates me.

The meeting and subsequent event we are planning was also being held in a place that I detest for numerous reasons, however I must attend as I am on the committee.

During the meeting there was a lot of food and the people in the meeting were chowing down on it, even though it was not meant for us. I was disgusted by the way they were eating. Very glutonous.

After the official meeting, we began to paint the room black (a color I would hate for the walls)

At that point I woke up and realized the common thread was that I hated everything in that dream and am wondering what it all means?

Dreams are about awareness. Through awareness we are able to gain perspective and balance in our life. The only person who can really answer the question as to why all these things that you dislike would show up in one dream, a dream that was carefully, scripted, cast and directed especially for you...is you.
There was a specific reason for this dream. Of this you can be certain. It takes a lot of energy for the mind to organize dreams and I have seen many times reactions by the subconscious mind (when asked if the message sent was a serious) answers like, "Hey I am really busy here. Do you think that I am just clowning around?" Or perhaps my favorite was, "I have better things to do so if you do not appreciate what I do, I won't do it any more." This lady's dreams stopped for about two months... She had to go through exercises to beg the subconscious mind to put dreams back into her life. It was just like what is happening today in the media. It was a real writers strike!!

If you think about what happened in the few days before this dream was sent to you I would think that you would have a clue as to what incubated the dream. Just a guess? Maybe someone in your waking life indicated that you are becoming more negative, or pessimistic than you should be or perhaps there is just an awareness of the fact that the list of all that you dislike in life is growing? In any case there was a reason.

Hi Claudia,
Dreams do important tasks in sleep. Your dream indicates that your business is getting on top of you - you are trying to do too much and the staff are getting on your nerves. This is interferring with your sleep and the dream tries to keep you asleep for as long as possible to give you some rest.
You need a holiday, you need a break from the burden of running your business.
Why? You even hate people taking a necessary meal break?
