I dream atleast 4 times a week about my ex boyfriend who i haven't spoken to in 4 years. I do think of him during the day and he was a very spiritual person and comes in my dreams...Except, the dreams are extremely real as if it's another reality. Last nite i felt his hand and details that you only realize in real life. It's hard to come out of the dreams and as a result I can sleep for 10-12 hours easily and have vivid dreams...when i wake up I can't believe it's not REAL! He used to come in my dreams and the next day he would tell me what my dream was in detail...and it was always right.....Can anyone help ?

After 4 years it is time you came back from the past! It is indeed another reality when you can't tell dreams from waking life! However it happens to some of us sometimes. The reason you're having these dreams is because the break up effected you very badly and you're on the verge of a nervous breakdown. The best medicine for you is to get yourself a new boyfriend, lots of friends of both sexes and other interests on the side. If you keep mopeing on him you'll never get better. Cheers Wolfjk

You omitted to mention your current partner situation as raised by Wolfjk and this omission makes it a tad more difficult to provide an accurate (if that is possible) reading. I subscribe to Wolfjk's views; four years is a long period to grieve over a broken relationship unless it has been a long relationship of say 7 plus years but it does look as if you might be stuck in one of the stages of grief. The type of dreaming you have described appears to be what is termed as 'lucid' dreaming and you will note that there is a thread on this forum that specialises in this type of dreamscape.

i know it's not normal to have lucid dreams of him and i haven't found that connection since i was with him. I feel like the only solution to moving forward is to keep insanely busy and i recently lost my job so i'm thinking way more of him. I believe he was my soul mate but he's just completely forgotton about me. I have lots of friends thank God, and I just started a course to keep busy...which is also good. My dreams are always real. Someone I know from work, 26 years old guy, recently died of apparently choking on food. I asked him to come into my dream and he did...He told me how it happened and showed it to me. Since then he's come into my dreams 2 more times...But it was insanely REAL....like, i could smell his cologne....and at the same time i knew it was a dream. Last night's dream of ex boyfriend was way too real. I wish i didnt dream and didn't think so much. i wish i could just be normal
