I dreamed that my friend Toni (who I love and admire) and I were at work. Toni came to visit me at my cubicle the way she does most mornings. She was wearing a shirt that belongs to me. Its black wrap around style shirt with a decorative accent on the left side. She had some how put it on the wrong way and it was baring way too much of her breasts for a work environment. I heard people walking by us, laughing and making fun of her She was very ashamed. I told her that I could fix it and we should go to the ladies room. I tried to fix it a little bit while we still at standing in my cubicle I was really furious at those other people for laughing at her and making her feel bad. And I felt upset that my friend was hurt. We started to walk towards the ladies room and then I woke up.

Could it be the outfit or would it be the relationship that is amusing others? It sounds a little more like the latter.

Hi Jennings,
I fail to see any interpretation in your comment. If you read what I wrote CAREFULLY, no where does it mention anything about anyone laughing at our friendship. The dream was about her putting the shirt on wrong and baring too much breast at work. That was the cause of the laughter. |

I have my opinions about your dream but I wouldn't want to unintentionally offend and have a caustic remark thrown at me.

The meaning of the dream lies in its figurative sense and not as is written; if you fail to understand this moot point why then seek a meaning to it when you already understand what is written? My interpretation may well be wrong; I do not set myself up as an authority on the meaning of dreams merely an amateur enthusiast. I never seek to mislead nor to embarrass anyone unless I feel that they are being deliberately frivolous, mischievous, or manipulative when, mostly, I choose to remain silent. Many posters, when one gets close to the mark, tend to either remain silent or go into denial but, there are times, when the best form of defence becomes attack!

Dreams work on many different levels. But dreams where we feel strong emotions can often be quite literal. Often such dreams mimic some real life situation. Here your frind is showing too much - perhaps this symbolises a situation where you feel that you need to be honest wuith your friend.
------------------------ Dream interpreting is not an easy task. In some ways its like trying to work out what subject inspired someone’s poem by studying the metaphors within it. It can be done though. But you only achieve any level of success when you interpret your own dreams. Generally dreams are very much in the present day. They will often represent specific thoughts either as we look back to the previous day or as we focus on the day to come. So a snake for example symbolises something bad and in the context of a dream analysis will generally point to some problem or trap either that you nearly fell into yesterday or that you worry about in the near future. But either way there are not that many problems and traps and difficult situations from yesterday. Usually you will be able to highlight one thing. So try to look at dreams simply. A good dream will show your happy state of mind and so thats really not that difficult to trace.
