Carpenter Squirrel and a Deamon Rat

this is my first post i am usually able enough to decipher my own dreams at least enough to be useful but this last one has me befuddled so I am submitting it here in hopes of some interpretive suggestion. as I am no psychic/ psychiatrist myself I am totally open to any useful suggestion. As this is a recurring dream I am sure there is something in this message that is just not sinking in but my gut tells me its an important one.

Its a clear summer/autumn night there is a young squirrel and a big fat black rat on my 3rd story balcony. I scare the rat and it falls off the balcony and either dies or is seriously injured. the squirrel pays no attention to this and its trying to give me an old birds nest and a piece of wood board. when I don't take the junk the little squirrel attempts to "tack" the nest to the board with a piece of splintered wood. I give the squirrel a tack hammer and some thin nails and show him how to use them to nail the nest to the board. once the squirrel gets the hang of it he has a total blast and just starts hammering nails into the wood like a child would in his fathers work shop. soon i start contemplating teaching the squirrel to also use a screwdriver and build itself a little house.
I have no carpentry ability, I'm not at all disgusted by rats, though i think this one was a demonic presence, and i don't particularly care for squirrels. i think they are mean to each other and even a little creepy. but this "dream squirrel" had a cartoon cuteness.
what exactly is the message i am missing?
am i to help someone in need of housing arrangements? or am i suppose to teach someone something? no clue. any help would be appreciated.

However from your post I gather that you like looking at birds from your window and thought about making or buing a nestbox! Your dream was reminding you of it
Go on! Give a bird a home! You might even get a dodo nest in it!!

If one dreamt he was a carpenter means he is benevolent for people but while speaking to them he is deceitful and behaves as people like.
Also he is not benevolent for all of them but shows him so .
Wood is interpreted as a hypocrite, Hypocrite/4.
Some interpreters say grinding and sawing wood means teaching goodness to people but he is hypocrite.
Carpenter is someone who teaches culture and moral to people and corrects their moral.

well rats are often easy symbols. They refer to males who are rat lioke. So the best way to analyse the drea is to wait until you next have it. Then ask yourself who is the rat. Who acted like a rat the previous day? who were you wanting to chase away and discourage.

Third floors in dreams are often a strange symbol. I do not know how much I believe it yet to me there has always seemed a very strong link bvetween third floors and the psychic world. That you are knowing just how someone is thinking

dreams to me are very specific and I would say this dream meant that you were reading just what some low life scum bag male had in his mind and that you preempted this and chased him away.
