I had this dream a while ago but I am currious on what it may mean.
In this dream, my aunt's neighbours were my parents. They have a house almost right on the ocean in New Hampshire. I have always loved their house. Anyway, in the dream, the neighbors were my parents. We were sitting out on the front porch talking. Two kids came out and asked, "Mommy, can we go play in the fields please?" I told them that it was okay as long as they stasied together. In the dream, the house was on what appeared to be like a farm. The house sat on the top of the hill and there was many acres. I watched the kids run down the hill past the greenhouse to where there was a indoor pool. They went to play hide-and-go-seek by the pool cuse the "dream parents" kept the door to the pool locked. My "parents" and I were talking about the kids and about they fact that I live in Arizona with my husband and only his parents as our instate support system. My parents asked me why we lived out there when my family lives back east (which happens to be my real family). I told them that if it hadden't been for my adoptive parents (which happens to be my real parents), I wouldn't have met my husband. My parents told me that now that we are married, we could move to New Hampshire to be with my family because they were wanting to see my kids. I told my parents that we were happy in Arizona because his family was there, our friends were there, and that our jobs, which we loved, where there. My parents told me that since both of my parents were gone (dead) I should bring my husband and kids to NH. My husband came out of the house and handed me a drink and we all started to talk again. My parents shifted to him and asked him why he wanted to stay in Arizona. He told them the same thing that I told them. My parents told me that we could still stay in touch with out friends and his parents in AZ but they would like us to concider moving to be closer to the family. My kids came back because their cousin came over. We told the kids that they needed to go play somewhere else while the adults talked. My "dream uncle" (my dream moms' brother) said that we should be closer to him. I told the family that if we moved, we would be leaving our whole support system. We told them that our friends in the club that we are in would be heartbroken if we left. I woke up after that. I just need to know what this could mean. I am currious to why I was dreaming about my real parents were my adoptive parents and people in New Hampshire were my parents?!?!?! |

I'm sorry but that explains nothing. Because I see my family as much as possible. I can't move out there. My job and everything is here where I live. I don't have a husband or children but I do have a job and friends. I will not move out to New Hampshire because I am not going to shovle snow every winter. If I wantto do that I can move 2 hours up north to do that. I love my family but I love Arizona to much. And besides, the only way for me to move back east right now, is if my job (law enforcement job) needs me to move there. Chances of that happening is nill. My department is my home and they are desperate just like every other department for officers.

well dreams act out many of the dilemmas that we face in life. There seems to be some dilemma here. To stay near close family OR move to arizona.
In life we have toi balance things. on pone hand there are needs that you have. Family, the simple farm life, links to parents and your roots. yet on the other hand there is your husband and his requirements. Really speaking its a simple dream. HIS wishes versus YOUR wishes. How these are met is important. In life relationshiops involve give and take. Just how much give and take there is is important. If you sense at the moment a lack of give and take then maybe resentment starts to build up. Even if you get things mostly your own way resentment builds up. You always have to make some sacrifices. You give up some things that you want for the sake of the relationship ------------------------ Dreams deal with extremes. If you truly understood the meaning of your dream it may be quite negative. We are our own worst judge. We try to detect signals coming from other people. Do people feel we are not cool or incompetent? The dream mind is often very harsh and honest. It tells us things that we do not like to admit to ourselves. It tells us things that we fear. Its worries about how others are seeing us. It’s a big harsh dose of reality. Yet the dream mind also heads in the other direction. It captures our fantasies and positive feelings. Sometimes you wake up in a positive mood and feel that you are going to tackle a task in a particular way. You are invigorated and positive. Dreams then help motivate us. But often if we go too far in one direction our dreams tell us to cool down and not get carried away. This makes sense really. The dream mind then explores feelings connected with our judgment. We need to motivate ourselves but we also need to be realistic. That's the thing. The "husband" in my dream and I wanted the same things. We both had jobs here in Arizona and a life. We have friends here in AZ. We love it here. It was the parents that wanted me to move to New Hampshire.
Also, I am not married, and my father is still alive. I lost my mother. My family (i.e. aunts, uncles, cousins) live in the Northeast states while my grandparents on both sides live in Florida with the guy that I like, his grandparents. |
