Personal Sacrifice

I need a little help with this as it caused me physical pain.
The dream begins with me walking through the woods a night with a small toddler. sex unknown. We are following two men and bright light filters through the woods... there are lots of people moving towards us but they are frantic and none of them pay us any attention. I get the feeling that these men are not helping me and the child so I sneak away from them and follow the people back to a set of low buildings in a clearing. I find myself and the child in one building and there is a large man hole like submarine entrance.
In the corner, there are several people arguing over a box like machine with a battery and cable next to it. I instinctively know it as a detonator. A woman detaches herself from the group and I ask her what is going on? why is this happening? the woman resembles my mother but I do not recognize her as such. her responses are vague and the idea that the detonator has some issue that requires someone to physically detonate the bomb it is attached to. the bomb is far away in the area with the issue(still unknown but has feeling of catastrophic)the battery must be attached to the detonator and when the light comes on, it is live. someone must push and hold the button until the timer counts down from 20, then release the button. the person will not live. the people are going down into tunnels/ bunkers to stay for year(s) protected from the radiation. none of the sceintists types is willing to sacrifice themselves. I push the child into the woman's arms and say to her... one day i will find you and you will owe me big. the man hole door is shut and sealed. I sit next to the detonator... i can hear lots of noise outside the building... not people just noise. i connect the battery and when the light comes on, i push the button. there is a white flash and all i can see is the count down and white all around me. when the timer is at 0 i let go of the button and look around..faint images are around me.. a dressing mirror, a rocking chair. then a rush and i wake up ... my heart was pounding and my head hurt like a headache was coming on. i woke up feeling angry.

I like to begin by assuming everyone you dream of is an aspect or reflection of yourself... so... you and your younger self (toddler) are walking through the dark woods and you can see bright light filtering through. Could this be your journey into the unkown, i.e. future? You know there is a bright light at the end, but the journey there is dark, unkown and scary? It seems you are taking care of your younger self and helping her through. You feel that the men you are following are not helping you, so you change directions. Are you going down a path that you feel is not right for you? All these people around you are frantic and not helping you. Do you feel frantic and unable to make an important decision?

You decide to sacrifice yourself to detonate the bomb, because the scientist types wouldn't do it. Are you less impressed with the "brainy" side of yourself and feel that that alone cannot be depended on without other parts or yourself... (looks, personality?) Also, you decide to detonate the bomb, but think you won't die as you tell the mom figure you will find her. So it seems that something major will explode in your future, but you will live through it. It could be a relationship, or a wrong decision you have made...you know something is going to go wrong, but you are going to be okay.

Now, my favorite part... you give the older women the toddler to take care of, and tell her you will find her and she will owe you big. Wow! So, you are handing off the little one (your childhood) to the mother figure (you all grown up.) You know you have to give up a lot of things, and sacrifice to become the woman you want to be. You have to let go of your childhood. I think you are telling yourself, yes, I will live through this hard part, and have to give up some childish things, and I hope the grown up me appreciates the struggle and what it takes to get where I am going. Does that help?

I always think it is harder to determine what your dreams mean to you unless you can have someone else give a little basic insight... as things can be too close to home. Thanks for the interpret... I have had many dreams of death and usually do not fear it or feel harmed... I have always been the rock... I know that it is probably the pain of watching others think just cause I can make it through, they will too.

Your dream describes very well the start of a bad headache or a migrain attack. If you think about your dream carefully I'm sure you will find that your dream was caused by the headache coming on.
At first your dream tries to keep you asleep for as long as possible by weaving a long story line that diverts you from the problem in your sleep, however the subconscious always keeps the possibility of having to wake you up suddenly with an explosion or a flash.

Being in the woods means being in a society.
A toddler if a boy means a sorrow or an illness is on the way.
People going deep into the ground means people are sad.
White light means some knowledge you will receive.
Yellow light ; praying to God
White light ; some of knowledge
Red light ; a friend
Green light ; some of wisdom
A mirror means a partner or a seperation from her ( your gender is needed and your location if you mind).
A bomb blast means your name in a list like a uni list or a local paper.

DETONATOR: An eotional issue likely to explode at any minute
TODDLER: Obviously in need of supervision. can get into trouble at any time

Dreams use symbols and you piece them together and see how they form conceptual emotionbs eg "My brother is like a little child. He constantly seems to get into trouble. I was just waitiong for him to cause an argument yesterday"

Of course thats likely not to be the cause of your dream. Yet thats the typoe pof way I would have interpreted this dream. Just ask yourself who was acting like a toddler the day before or who you feel often does act like a toddler.
