Had this beautiful dream ove the weekend. I dreamed I entered another world, the spirit world . I was transformed into a soaring white seabird and I soared over the land. This was so peaceful, so lovely! I felt like this was my real home. Below me was a vast body of pristine blue water. Islands of red rock dotted the landscape. I could see schools of fish swimming as one under the water. The sky was blue and there were no clouds at all. The home I was heading form was a massive red rock pillar similar to the kind you would see in the Grand Canyon. As I got closer, I realized it was fortress carved out solid rock, not unlike the famous site of Petra. It had its own bay with a narrow moat that went around the back of it. It was safe from any fleet of attacking ships due to the narrow moat, safe from any army who would try to enter it as it could only be entered by seabirds. I was accompanied by many other souls who were deemed pure by the Creator and transformed into white albatrosses. After I flew into the one of hole enterances, I turned myself back into human. I was in a massive palace held up with pillars carved from the rock. GOD made this place for us. Seabirds flew all around me and throughout the palace. I heard this thunderous knocking on the rock walls. I looked out and saw a giant white marble statue of a Roman emperor banging angrily againist the rock walls. He yelled, "I am emperor Pelanus! I am emperor Pelanus!" I thought well this is just a empeoror who lost his power and was forgotten long ago. I remembered the severed head of Medusa was hidden here and I was immune to its effects. I could show him the head of Medusa and the statue would crumble into the sea but I didn't. I simply waited until the frustrated statue gave up and left. Analysis so far: The giant marble statue represents a man who has lost his significance and potency long ago; but he tries to make up for it by sounding important by yelling and throwing a fit. The fortress is a fortress of faith in GOD, and it is designed to discourage conventional attacks (an assault from sea represents mockery; an attack from an invading army represents those who wish to steal, kill, and destroy) and this attack is unconventional in nature but since the Rock is too strong for him and since he can't get gratification because he can't tell if his tirade is having any effect or not; he gives up. Pelaneus sounds a lot like (please forgive the bluntness here) penis, which indicates that this foolish man is just being boastful as to not feel his manhood dinminished in some way. The medusa represents femine power to confront impotent men who boast and bully but do not have any grounds to do so, so that their inflated egos crumble into nothing.

My question would be: what is with the fortress, what army or navy would attack it, and why? It might be a cool place for seabirds, but it's not really engaged in the real world of people, the closest thing it has is an animated statue.
Is there a threat of attack (for or against someone or something) that is feared in the real world, and a need for retreat or security? |

Every life is full of attacks...verbal assualts and even physical attacks from people & attacks from unforeseen circumstances
Anyway, I thought I already answered your questions as to what the fortress represents and what the attacks represent already in my orignal post: Quote:

well heres my thoughts.
When I have a dream which is accompanied by good wheather, good feelings etc It tends to link to moments when I feel happy and content. Think about moments and moods when you felt happy and contented recently. Try to think of moments when you noticed the happiness or contentedness of others. The emperor penis.. afterall thats whats come to mind. This portion makes me think of what you thought. Its someone deluding themselves. Someone who appears slightly ridiculous Many deams judge the behavior that we monitor in ourselves or in others. Often fdreams link to the previous day(though not always). Who was this roman figure. Who comes to mind? Was it perhaps you judgeing yourself in a negative way? It may have been but it may easily be you judging the actions of someone else. I often link deams specifically to the previous day. Thats not always the case. But I always think its a good startiong point. Write down several quotes which represent your thoughts. Your new insights.. little moments of intuition. Then see who in those intuitions comes to mind. Who is that roman figure? Many dreams are easily lost. The things that trigger deams are often transitary.. often seemingly insignificant thinsg which we would not associate with dreams. ----------------------------- Dreams may seem fantastical yet in reality they do reflect the way that we see life. The wolves chasing us do remind us of the way life feels when there are problems. On other days a more peaceful and serene scene may capture exactly that mood of calmness inside you. Sometimes we feel that self same sense that nothing is wrong with the world. Dreams then do capture our feelings. But try to link together the real life mood with the dream symbols. Think of the specific moods inside you. Think of how you woke up eager and ready for the day ahead in anticipation of some new challenge. How would you portray that in a dream if all you had were images? Think of moments when you lie awake in bed worrying and clarifying some issue. How could that be portrayed in dreams? I'm pretty sure the dream was about an experience with a rude and bullying man a few days before. I could have really let him have it (give him the Medusa treatment) but I didn't. I stayed calm until he gave up. Thanks for your comments. The dream does seem to reflect what was going on during that confrontation and perhaps its even teaching me a lesson from the experience.

Well thats perfectly possible.
Sometimes we feel drawn into some argument. Someone acts in a petty way. We want to let rip. yet in reality theres no point. We maybe totally in the right. Yet whats the point. Some people you just cannot win the argument with Thansk for the reply ------------------------ When you get a dream think carefully about which direction you are currently looking. Are you looking back towards yesterday and something that happened and how you reacted. Or are you looking forward to the day to come. If you are looking forward then its likely the dream is about some thoughts or fears about the day to come.
