Default Snakes

Can someone help me please? My dream was that I was in a house and my boyfriend came in and said that he had seen 2 snakes in the garden and he was going to catch them to get rid of them. the first one was bright red and white diamonds and he caught it up and released it into the front garden because it was supposedly harmless. The second was a tiger snake (v.deadly) and he tried to kill it but his shovel missed, he pinned down the head and asked me to kill it but I only had a small knife and couldn't do it because I am terrified of snakes. then my friend's dog came in and I managed to grab her before she attacked the snake, tried to lock the dog in another room but the catches on the doors were really loose, so I shut the dog behind 3 doors. Finally I came out and my cleaning lady (???) said the cook (???) who was a young girl had taken the snake and put it to sleep gently, I looked in the bathroom and she was lying in the tub full of water fully clothed, with the snake under a rain jacket and she was stroking him gently to sleep???

I am very confused! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Truffleh,
After reading, and rereading your post, this is what I have thought of. I hope it helps you figure things out.
You may look at how your relationship is with your boyfriend. Maybe this is true, or it could just be reflecting some fears you have. Either your boyfriend is cheating, or you fear that he could cheat on you.

Snakes in dreams usually mean hidden fears, danger, betrayal, and sex. Your boyfriend finds 2 snakes in the garden (what the garden looks like could also be an indication of your feelings). The first, red one, is deemed harmless. Red means passion, danger, or sex. The second one is a dangerous, aggressive tiger snake. Your boyfriend wants it killed, but wants you to do it.
I have a feeling that your boyfriend has had some other relationships, either before you, or during. He may have had a girlfriend that he was quite physical with, but let her go. She is harmless, in his opinion, to your relationship.
The tiger snake is harder to rid of. This woman may be more aggressive, and doesn't want to let go of your boyfriend. He wants you in the picture to so she will leave him alone. Or he want you to think it's over with her because you are in the picture?
Your friend's dog wants to kill the snake. A dog means loyalty. In your dream, you shut the dog behind 3 doors. Did your friend in real life warn you about your boyfriend and another woman? Did you get upset about it, and tell her to mind her business?
Another thought just came to mind......the dog was shut behind 3 doors. Did your friend warn you already about 2 different women (2 snakes), only for you to get upset? In your dream, there is another young woman hiding and stroking the snake. (warning #3 from your friend, thus door #3 for the dog?) A snake is a strong phallic symbol.

I hope this helps you sort things out, and I hope the real scenerio is better than this one!
Peace to you,
Bright Dreamer

Hi,
A sanke means a hidden enemy apparently friendly.Sometimes even kids are seen as a snake as they annoy you or a family member.
A red snake means someone who likes the music and dance.
A tiger snake means an enemy who is kind.
Shovel means someone discord and hypocrite as the shovel has two faces..
Let's wait and see who will be these enemies in around a month or so.
Please let me know when something like that happened.

well snakes can link to poisonous and negative emotions. Try reading this page on my site as it deals with snake dreams.

Dream symbolism and dream dictionary interpretation - research into the practical meaning of snakes, anacondas, and vipers in dreams analysis

Then think about your relationshipwith your boyfriend and the negative emotions that you have had to deal with.. either your bad feelings, his .. or how you are dealing with someone elses malicious feelings..

Many dreams relate to relationships and how we monitor them. Did someone say the wrong things? how should we deal with bad feelings? ignore it? etc
