getting married

so this dream was about me getting married to my current boyfriend. well, everything went wrong! my dress...i picked it out purposely like this and then later on decided it was ugly lol.... was black on the top and it was long sleeves *i would never have a long sleeve dress lol* and it was made out of like vevelt or velour material. the bottom part of the dress had like a sheer overlay on it and it was like a big poufy skirt type and it was ROYAL BLUE. like BRIGHT blue lol. and then i was going to put on black heels w/ it but my godmother told me to wear royal blue ones cuz it would match better. i didnt actually see myself getting married or anything but i remember crying after and telling my best friend *who i am not currently talking to in real life....and we might not stay friends actually but thats a long story* about it and i was upset saying about how my boyfriends mom didn't help w/ the wedding at all, didn't help plan it or anything. *which is really ironic cuz in real life when me n my boyfriend talked in the past about if we ever get married i said i don't want his mom to have anything to do w/ planning the wedding just cuz i know how she is and she would want things a certain way and would give her opinion about EVERYTHING and probably would try and plan the whole damn wedding* then i told her my dress was really ugly and it just wasn't how i planned my wedding to be, it didn't turn out like i wanted/expected it to and it wasn't even that special, especially since she wasn't there.

now i know that last part has to do w/ the fact that we r not talking and its bothering me cuz i do want to talk to her and i do miss her but at the same time.....what happened was a big deal and i kind of feel like i can't really trust her now and everything so i don't know what's going to happen. but i want to know what the rest of the dream means!!

To me this may mean (and I can be totally wrong):

1) You are very anxious about the wedding - is it being arranged or are you thinking about it?

2) Do you think your partner is right for you?
3) did you expect support from someone but i was not received? (future mother in law)
4) the shoes are important....I once dreamt that I was wearing really nice clothes and there was a perfectly matching pair of shoes - it was perfect and I really wanted to put them on but couldnt b/c they belonged to someoen else...(Id just recently discovered that my love interest did infact have a girlfriend even though he was showing interest in me)......shoes have other meaning too - but the fact that your godmother advised you to wear a better colour that matched the dress (even though you didnt like the colour) seems to be a good thing - has she recently been giving you advice on something - what does she think of your boyfriend?

Re your friend - in your heart even though she has in someway betrayed you - you still miss her and see her as your confidant - which is natural.....

hmm...well actually i barely talk to my godmother, she moved away a few months back 3 hours away and even before then we really didn't talk. she just got married herself in real life, i don't know if that means anything. she actually has never met my boyfriend due to the fact that i havent seen her or even really talked to her since shes so busy in her new life. and yes i have felt a little bit neglected because me n her used to be really close, we would at least go shopping every few months or so...that was our thing. and then she got really busy in her life, moved back w/ her mom to help take of her, got 2 jobs, and then met this guy that she married recently. i mean i know shes busy and eveyrthing but it still sucks.

I see your post is from january 08,,, I just joined here, and wonder did u ever got married.... and by now you may know what this dream was telling you.
Here is how I see meaning of it : first dreaming your Godmother does not have anything to do with her in real life,,, it is symbol for GOD and mother giving you advise and direction, Shoes symbolize beliefs, and the foundations on which you stand and protection of these. Blue color if it is clear represents truth, wisdom, and deep blue color spiritual goals and your Godmother telling you to put on "True" foundation on and not Black which you had on first place, Black stands for unknown,darkness, mourning, hate, especially when associated with uncertainty. Fact that your dress was all wrong, may depict an absurd attitude you are taking, and if is ill-fitted means attitudes which do not fit with your overall lifestyle and beliefs, something unsuitable for you. All and all I would recommend on finding more about your b-friend and see if he is really right match for you... as dream is showing some problems...
