This is my first post here *waves*
I sometimes become animals in my dreams. So far they have all been currently non-existant animals. The first was a sabre tooth tiger, I was running away from something, then I morphed and realised I didn't have to run and I chased them instead. The second time was a unicorn, but I was running away from people hunting me almost, I did manage to escape. This time it was a unicorn again. As far as I can remember me and my best friend were in a room, we seemed relieved to get there at first but soon we realised something wasn't quite right and that the man in there had trapped us. I managed to escape somehow. I was running on all fours out of the building and towards a forest. As I entered the snow covered forest I realised I was a unicorn. I kept running and running until I got to a cliff type place. I could see beautiful shores below and I wanted to get there. I then wished I could fly. As soon as I did, wings sprouted from my shoulders and I was flying, unsteadily at first. I went higher first of all then gradually flew down to the beach. When I reached the beach I became human again, I think. I noticed a stunningly beautiful white horse with a really long mane standing in the sea. I called it, and it came to me. Then there were two white horses, they were following me and playing with me. A couple of other things happened like a lovely old teacher of mine swam passed and we hugged and said hello. Also a friend I fell out with years ago was walking past and she threw me a letter kind of saying sorry. I must say though, this was one of the lovliest dreams I've ever had. To be a unicorn, run, fly, swim and play with horses in one dream... wow Interpretations much appreciated |

my animal dreams are normally strange. I know I'm the animal that I am but I drift in and out taking form of the animal and taking form of my self. But when I'm taking form of myself I still have the powers of that animal and everyone around me believes that I'm the animal.

In shamanic practices it is alleged that we all have access to a power animal, that is a totem animal which works closely with us.
Each animal that we come accross in our external world has different strengths and weaknesses, generally by attuning to the strengths of each animal we can bring this energy into our lives, that is too say if we draw on the strength of a lion we may associate a lion with courage, or confidence or whatever association we have with such an animal. To dream of turning into the animal itself would suggest that one is 'embodying' these particular strengths or traits in ones life at the moment. The unicorn is a mythical creature at least in our outer reality, but on our inner planes of consciousness it is actually quite real, in the sense that it has its place within human consciousness be it mythical or not, therefore it carries encoded within it a particular quality that may be you are embodying or accessing right now. Unicorns as far as I am aware though i do not know a great deal on this subject and others may be able to add more, are associated with healing and spiritual healing, i.e a form of healing that is different from our current orthodox medical system, for example reiki. it may be that there are certain qualities/talents you have within, that are either developed or undeveloped which you can affect in a positive way to help yourself and others. I hope this helps a little good luck Blueberry |

Lovely dream
There seems to be some escapism - escaping from the human form, from the hunter, and then theres learning/approval, closure, fun (teacher/friend/horses) and being close to nature and of course the sea (emotions) -...either that is a place you are at know or a place you are seeking...whatever the case the fact that you have enjoyed such a experience in a dream is the first step towards making it real. If you are in that period of your life know your dreams are reflecting it, if not then maybe your mind is asking you to create it? |
