Very wierd disturbing dream

Last night I dreamt the following dream. I am walking along a footpath and on one side there is a wall that is a sea defence, the footpath is open and not secluded, but there is no-one else around. I come across a man and this man is talking to another man who is hanging from the sea defence wall by his finger tips. Strapped to his back is a child, the child is about 5 or 6 and the arms are tired around the mans neck. When I lean over the wall I am not able to see the sea and it looks like mist but isn't. I try to help the man, but the other man then threatens me. I still try to help the man. The next thing I am miles away from the scene - don't know how I got there - and I am trying to find my way back to help the man, but I don't know which way to go. I am in a real panic as I really need to find this man as I am concerned for his safety. I came across a man on the beach (not one who has aleady been in the dream) and ask him if he knows where the wall is, he says he does and comes with me to show me. We walk for miles and all the time I am really worried about the man hanging from the wall and am scared I will be too late and he will die. The man then starts to panic and says he has to get back to his wife as it is getting late and I shout at him saying if we don't find the man and child they will die. We then see a lifeboat and it has a child on it with their hands tied together, I start to cry thinking that it too late then realise it is a different child and carry on looking for the wall and the man. I wake up at this point, (or at least think I do) when I am trying to get back to sleep I have to keep reminding myself that I had been dreaming because I want to still find the man and child. I never did find them and don't know what happened to them.
what does this mean, it was very disturbing as I really felt bad that I never found them and could not help them.

If dreamt he went out of a straight way on purpose means he will use tricks and deceive for an enemy.
If dreamt he was going in a way and a woman came to him and he left the way for her means the material world will deceive him and there will be failure in his belief and will give up the goodness and belief.
If dreamt there was green grass and plants in his way means his belief is pure.
If dreamt he was going in a way by guessing and probability means he will innovate in religion or he will wander in his affairs. The Livestock/153.

f one dreamt he was sitting on a wall and it was stable ,means his situation in the life is good and stable.
