Eating salad, disgusted discover dead mouse

Last night I dreamt I was eating a salad that was in a small plastic container (I rarely if ever eat salads in real life), and after picking up a forkful of lettuce or shifting it over or something, I saw a dead, small, brown mouse at the bottom of the container. It was fully intact, the entire body, just dead. I was completely revulsed and disgusted, so much so I physically moved and woke myself up. The dream struck me, any idea what it could mean? Today I also saw a dead bird right in front of my front door that my cat probably left as a present, which reminded me of the dream.

"I was completely revulsed and disgusted" - this shows that you were really sick in your sleep and needed to be woken up very quickly.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm a bit confused by it. I did not really feel sick like I needed to throw up in my sleep, and this happened in the middle of the night so I just rolled over and went right back to sleep, feeling fine. I was more shocked and a bit frightened, but disgusted enough to stop eating the salad immediately, maybe even dropping it. Even now I do not ever want to eat a salad ever, even though I occasionally do so while I'm dieting. But I certainly did not feel nauseous or sick... just disgusted.

Thanks for your post. You give a lot more information about your dream and about your life.
My experience is that dreams control our system while we're asleep. They respond to the needs of the body,and wake us when we need to wake up - ether to attend to a problem thet occurs in sleep, or when we are ready to wake up in the morning.
Many dreams have the healing power to cure many problems that happen in sleep. Even if the sleeper wakes up, he or she does not know why? The dream leaves a just a question.
Now, knowing that you dont like salads but have to eatit sometimes as part of a diet gives the dream a different slant. In your sleep you pehaps thought of eating salad and felt disgusted by it. Your dream could have been a respons to your thoughts alone.
However you must be dieting for a reason. Perhaps you like fast foods, or fatty spiced foods and eating those caused indigestion or sickness?
I can only guess on the basis of what I know about dreams. You are the keeper of your life. Look after it!

Its a premonition. Often dreams will capture strong feelings and emotins from the day to come. You have already understood the dream. It involked the same sense of disgust. A mouse is a symbol that is assciated with cats. Thats a strong link.
