My Brother

My brother committed suicide 2 years ago. It has been a nightmare ever since. Literally. Anyway,in One of my dreams, Mark is talking to me, vey excited, in a misty realm kind ofplace. I couldn't hear words, but I think he was communicating with with me with telepathy, because images would pop into my mind . Like, my Dads motor home. He was pointing to his side and I think he was saying he was going somewhere, and he made me understand it with the motorhome. There was a john Prine song, clay pidgeons, and we all went to his concert. He had the cd with him when he died. He wrote clay pidgeons on his rear wiew mirror before he died. In that song, it says I'm goin out west somwhere I never been. My thoughts were saying he was going out west, the impression I got.. Ihope it was him.

What the dream seems to be indicating is that not only were you fond of your brother and shocked by his action but that you are still in the throes of grieving. It does not appear to possess any other meaning, sorry!

Correct me if I am wrong but, I seem to recall that you posted on this Web page a few months ago under a different user name. If I am right then, welcome back.

Hi Jen, thanks for the reply. Yes. I am shocked by what he did, more then you could know. Yes, also in the dream I said, "Mark!! Where have you been? I've missed you" And he laughed, like he used to. I do miss him. I was so hoping it might be him contacting me. Just the grief and my imagination. Idon't know if it was me, it's possible though! In any case, thanks for your welcome back!

your longing for that time with him again, and yes it shocks you that he did such an action, but possibly he's trying to show you something or explain it to you? I don't know it's just an impression that I got because you mentioned about him saying he's going somewhere.

YES! He was trying to tell me something. Frantically pointing and his mouth was moving. But no words came out. Only ideas, going out west from the clay pidgeons song. The motor home. I asked him on e time to give me a sign he was ok and mention clay pidgeons so I would know it was him. How do I know if it was really him?

Well I do not dismiss the idea that the dead can talk to us. I have had no experience of it myself and its certainly not provable. I do believe in premonitions though so I do not dismiss the idea. But I will not speculate along these lines. Theres no point

But in many cases dreams represent the conversations inside your own head. The CD being played and refererences to his last moments perhaps show that this is a pyschological dream. It shows you trying to understand how he felt at those crucial moments.

Many people would see this as a cold way of interpreting the dream. Its entirely within your own head. Yet to me it shows how much he meant to you. It shows you trying to get inside his mind. Trying to recreate him.

Who knows though - it might be him communicating with you.

Hi Bobby. Thank you for your input, it makes a lot of sense. The mind plays tricks, especially in dreams. Trying to sort things out in its way. I do wonder what he was thinking and how he was feeling in the minutes before he died.He must have felt so sad and alone. I call it Marks dark night of the soul. We think he thought this out, he left a note and just the things he did and said. In his note he couldn't wait to leave he said this place sucks. I think if he had only waited a little longer, things would have changed. He lost so much, his marriage, kids, job, house. Life is cruel. I am so sad, I feel his sadness. A nd it hurts me to my soul. He took a piece of it when he left. I think it may be my minds way of dealing with all of this, when I dream about him I want to believe it is him letting me know he is ok. Then again maybe it is. How do we know? I have premonitions, but I don't see what is going to happen. Just feel something is wrong, don't know what. I was with a friend, sitting on the bed, and all of a sudden I got a horrible, sick feeling like something was going to happen to him and he was in pain or something. So, i started crying and asked him if he was ok. He say yeah, fine and looked at me like I was crazy. Well, 3 months later, he died in that very spot, lying on the floor next to the bed, shot in the chest. I guess that was a premonition. But I never felt, I never know my own brother was hurting so bad. And I to this day don't know why. What a shock to have something like this happen to someone you love. And not be able to stop it.
