Past/Present love dream.

In last night's dream, I dreamt that I was dating one of my extremely close girl friends named Michelle. However, I didn't believe that she would be able to attend a party we were going to and I asked a friend, Ashley, to call her to see if she still planned on making it. When she arrived, I was retelling how I asked someone else to call her to Michelle to see if she was come, but I accidentally referred to Michelle as one of her friends, Tina, who, I was completely in love with for three years.When I referred to Michelle as Tina, she completely broke down and cried, and refused to talk to me. In real life, I do have feelings for Michelle, however, she doesn't know that I do... I also feel that I am over Tina, but this dream was just too odd. Any insight into this whatsoever?

How you describe you dream is a bit confusing which incidentally seems to describe your current feelings and probably hence the dream. Mixed-up emotionally.

Now your post is confusing in a much clearer way I guess you know about Freudian slips since that is happening in your dream! However in your dream your subconscious is playing a joke on you
The dream simply means that at present you like Michelle better than Tina and upsetting Michelle wakes you up quicker. For that is the sole reason for the dream: to wake you up! It is only when you are fully compus mentis that you can decide whom you like best. It is a simple as falling of a stool!
