Exclamation Hi, I'm new and really freaking out...

I had a dream last night that upset me so much I had to come on this site.

I find a kitten that's dirty, hungry, and possibly has fleas. I decide to take in the kitten to nurture it back to health, even if it's for a little while. I am a huge animal lover especially when it comes to cats. I check to see what sex the kitten is, and figure out that it's a female because its genitals are strangely located on the base of the tail on its backside (basically where the anus is supposed to be). I feed it first, leave momentarily, and come back to find the kitten lifeless and stiff, thinking I overfed it. I then realize it's not the same kitten as before, but a different kitten that wandered by to die. Relieved but momentarily saddened, I quickly come to my senses and start bathing my kitten.

I leave momentarily again for some reason. Noticing that I had left the kitten and forgot about it too long, I rush back to the bucket of water I was bathing the kitten in and find a lifeless body floating in the water. I cry very loud and try to do a mini-Heimlich on the kitten. Water comes gushing out and the kitten seems to have revived, but blood starts gushing out in huge amounts. I have squeezed the kitten too hard and freak out immediately, knowing the kitten will most likely die. I turn to see that there are 3 new buckets with dead cats floating in the water inside of them; the kitten I mistook as my own, my own dead kitten that was bleeding, and my real life actual cat's body floating lifelessly in the water.

I'm freaked to say the least. It was quite vivid because I could feel everything. I felt the stiff dead body, the cold water, the wet blood. This is my first post and could use some interpretation.

Thank you.

The kitten in this dream seems to me to be a symbol of your independence. Something in your life recently has probably been impairing your ability to act for yourself, and you feel apprehension that this is a cycle you have begun that will end in disaster. Since they are kittens, I'd imagine that this is a fairly recent problem and one you can overcome, but it's a bit like the sorcerer's apprentice- you feel like the little problems will never end so you can get on with your life.

Quite possible. I can never be quite independant. I have epilepsy and that prevents me from living on my own. I'm getting to the point where I will be married or engaged soon and afraid that my partner won't know how to take care of me.
