Ghost dream

I had this dream a couple of days ago, I couldn't remember much from it when I woke up but one part was very clear.
I was in a house, but it wasnt mine, just a house and I didnt see much of it aswell. But in a series of steps throughout the house, wherever I was, the vague image of a ghost would appear somewhere in the room, I could sense it.
Then, I would be in a different part of the house, and the same thing would happen. I remember being in a kitchen but not my kitchen, and I was by the sink, doing nothing but standing over it.
I stood there for a moment before I sensed something strange to my left, so I turned around. The ghost who kept appearing was standing next to me. It was a girl, and no higher than my knee, she looked up at me and was smiling, it wasnt a pleasent smile though, almost like a smile hiding something, threatening. I stood there for a few moments staring back at her, and felt a growing sense of dred, like the threatening presence could really harm me.
Anyone have any thoughts on it?

This is a sort of dream that happens when you feel under the weather. If you look at your dream, it makes you move around - it is suggesting or telling you to make certain moves in your sleep:

Here your dream is making you look around and move your head!

Hi. I think that the fact that the ghost had a name is important. More personal. Could it be you? Also, the fact that you feel threatened by it, says a lot. A feeling of dread and feeling threatened by something that is not really there is quite strange. Deception.Something bad disguised as a smile. Maybe you are trying to run away from some part of yourself. Perhaps it is connected with your past. Take care

Thanks for everyones replies, personally I believe that it could have been a warning or a part of myself I haven't yet accepted showing itself in a way where I had to take notice, who knows. Maybe the answer will come with time, thanks again.
