First vivid nightmare since a long time

I'm not one for having nightmares, but this one was vivid and intriguing.

I was having a meal outdoors with my family and relatives in an unfamilar house. Then I had to leave early to go to work.
For some reason I was barefoot and had to step carefully due to the rough pavement hurting my feet. As a walked away, I could partially see everyone enjoying themselves through the railings of our garden.
My job was in a nearby hotel, but as I rounded the corner, I was faced with a closed-down derelict hotel that looked like it had been shut for years. I suddenly felt a chill on realizing that my work colleagues and guests could not have been real. It then dawned on me that I had been brought to this place on false pretences, and as I turned round, there was my ex-girlfriend in a car driving straight at me. I woke up as she ran me over!

In my life I have had two recent big changes - my father died just before christmas, and we moved from UK to France a few months ago. My parents divorced 30 years ago, and I did see my father again until shortly before his death. The relocation to France requires me to commute to London twice weekly - hence I am not home every night.

shoes have two meanings; 1- a job 2- a gf or a partner .So, you haven't got a gf.
the fake relatives and family means you are far from them.
A car crash with your ex means you will meet her or will have a message from her, if you died means your problem will be solved.

First of all, I just want to extend my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your father. I'd like to also let you know you are in my prayers for strength and encouragement to you. When I read your dream, it seemed to relfect feeling insecure where you are at (unknown house) and feeling unprepared or vulnerable (bare feet). I believe the shut down hotel and being run over may reflect having inner questions or uncertainties about your workplace, relationship(s) in your life, even about what direction to take next, and perhaps even feeling like coming to a dead end? I just want to say that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will come out ok. I pray this has helped you some and again I will keep you in my prayers...God's blessing upon you.
