tornado dreams

I have had "theme dreams" for the past several years about tornados. I don't dream about any other kind of storms. These dreams are not the same dreams at all (I mean never the exact same dream every time). Sometimes they'll be very realistic, like what you'd see on those Discovery Channel programs. Other dreams they'll populate the landscape almost like trees. I don't think I've ever been caught in one in these dreams, and never in real life, I just see one or several from a distance. In these dreams I recall being anxious about the tornado(s) coming my way. In all the dream books I've read, storms in general seem to indicated chaos in the dreamer's life, and my life is definitely in chaos.

I doubt if your dream is highlighting chaos that is currently in your life but like your other dream it does seem to be a warning of pending disaster. It is almost as if the course your are on in life is worrying you or leading to disasterous consequences. There is some indication in this dreamscape that disaster could be avoided so it may not be preordained. My best wishes to you.

Your life may be chaotic but your dreams are about what is happening in the sleep they occur in. Simply put - your dreams of tornados are there to wake you from sleep. The only relation the dreams have to your chaotic life is that you go to bed mentally and physically exhausted and need a tornado to wake you up!! Cheers Wolfjk

well often people say that tornadoes represent stress within your life. Its a symbol for emotional turmoil. Always try to apply the dream symbol to right now. The day before is a very important time in dreams.

what do you think a tornado could represent? Perhaps someones bad mood prehaps? where you feel nyou have to bunker down and avoid the worst of the EMOTIONAL storm

hi iamacat,

I understand the common themed dreams you speak of as mine were tidal wave dreams in some form or fashion that once in a while would pop up in my dreams. In my case, they represented overwhelming thoughts or circumstances I had at the moment, and while I read your dream I was reminded of their similarities. Your interpretation sounds correct in that it may represent chaos or even hardships/crisis you may be facing, but I've found that sometimes they are warning dreams from God advising you of hardships or trying circumstances coming your way that He wants you to be prepared for? It could be anything from job-related difficulties, sickness, financial stress, etc. This may not be the case in all those dreams, but possibly in a few? Just some thoughts...also when we are going through "chaos", just remind yourself that as you hold tight to the hand God, you really are just "going through" it, and will eventually come out ok on the other side!
