I'm notoriously known for having odd dreams. Often more than two a night. Last night was no exception. Here's a description of my dream. Any help interpreting would be greatly appreciated.
Currently I live in a big city with my husband and daughter. In the dream we live in a small town and have two children. Our daughter and a little boy. Our home is much like the one we live in now except it's blue and flipped. The garage is on the opposite side. There are two trees. If you're facing the house, one's on the left side between our house and the neighbors house. The other on the right, by the garage. There's snow on the ground. Currently we live in Texas where it snows very little. In the dream we live up north. Maybe Alaska. We're rushing to get somewhere, the children and I. My husband isn't anywhere around. I think he's cheating in my dream. I ask my father, only he's not my father to take the children to the airport where I'll meet him. I have to check on the animals. There's a lady there asking about one of my animals, a skunk. I don't like skunks. They're cute, but they smell. I realize I'm late. I'm at the airport. It's small. The plane's only big enough for 10-15 people. I can't find the plane tickets or the childrens I.D. cards. I'm angry at my father, who's not my father for not grabbing them off the table. I'm worried I'll miss my flight. The pilot steps out from behind a door. We're his only flight that day. He looks familiar. I've seen him in other dreams. I blush. He tells me to return home and find the tickets. He'll wait for us to return. My car's gone. I call my husband to pick us up. He's angry. We get to our home and the tree on the left has fallen onto the garage. Two windows are shattered. I'm angry that my husband hasn't removed it or had the windows boarded up. I'm angry that he doesn't know how it fell. It's warm outside now. Summer. Still the same day, but Summer instead of Winter. My husband and I are fighting over the stupid tree. He takes our son into the house. I take pictures of the tree and the damage it's caused. I take my daughter with me on a walk. She runs out into the street. I yell at her. I'm scared. She could get hurt. (last night she fell on the sidewalk and split her chin open in real life) We reach our backyard. There's a red lawn mower there. We own a green one in real life. There's a note on the lawn mower from a neighbor. It says she's sorry, but she had to cut down the tree because of numerous reports that my family members have tried to knock it onto her house. I'm pissed. We're now in a court room. I have ticket information showing proof that my family has only visited us three times that year and we have only gone away twice to visit them. I show the judge the pictures of the tree. The judge asks my neighbor to step out so she can talk to her son. The boy says it was all a lie. His mother cut down the tree because it was blocking her view. The judge then awards us the case. It's Winter again. Same day, but Winter instead of Summer. The children and I are now on the plane with the nice pilot. We're heading somewhere warm like the beach. You can see the sunset from the plane. It's beautiful. This is where I wake up. Very vivid dream, but very odd. My husband and I tried very hard this morning to figure out what we did yesterday that could spark a dream like this. We didn't have a single argument and spent the morning cleaning out the garage. We have three small trees. None of which are close to the house nor could cause any damage. I'm a little confused by this dream and wonder what it could mean. Any ideas???? |

hi Olivegreen,
Just wanted to share some insight here from a biblical perspective. The main theme in your dream seems to be there is too much responsibility and too little help from those who should help, or who seem to help but not very effectively. I wonder if having the extra child in your dream reflects having double responsibilities, if that makes sense. Also, another theme is being unprepared (no tickets) and immobile (tree falling on garage)....feeling like you are unable to progress forward or move on because you feel weighed down by all these responsibilities. I also noticed the neighbor making you late because of an unecessary distraction, pointing out something that has nothing to do with you. The neighbor here represents people who may be distracting you with their own needs. People like that have to wait in line behind the priorities...family needs first, then others. When we mix it up, our family suffers...we take on more loads then we can handle. The dream also seems to say that people can fail, trick, or overload, but when seek God, who is the rigtheous and all-knowing Judge, and place these burdens in His hands, He will not only give you justice, but give you peace in your heart about those burdens so that you can move forward and progress (flight and sunset). I pray this has helped you and set your feet in the right direction for 2008. God is good! Hespeaksindreams

Thank you. I never would have thought about it like that. That does make sense. My husbands family came to stay with us over the holidays. So we were pretty busy. The garage was a hassle to clean to. I can see where the overload on responsibility comes in. Thanks a bunch. You gave me a lot to think about.

High Olivegreen,
Quote:
My ideas on your dream: it was created by your subconscious to entertain you during your sleep and wake you at the end of it. However there was a reason for having to keep you at a higher level of consciousness than normal. Perhaps your daughters fall upset you. Quote:
The anatomy of dreams is very difficult to explain and even more difficult to understand. Your dream provides a very useful example of how they work. Thanks for your post Cheers Wolfjk
