Default friend's mother died

I have had this dream 3 times now (that I remember) all within one month of each other and each time I've dreamt early in the morning right before I wake up.

The dream varies in detail, but the basics are the same: my friend's mother has died (I don't know how), he is distraught, and comes to me for comfort.

In reality, my friend's mother is alive and well, but I've never met her and he (my friend) and I rarely talk about her.

Any ideas?

Hi,
We all need a dream to wake us in the morning, however we rarly remember it. On some occasions we need a stronger dream to wake us and these stick in the memory.
Regarding your dreams; perhaps the subconscious deems that your friend dying in your dreams would be over doing it a bit so it uses his mother instead. She is more remote from you than your friend, but the trickle-down emotion from him is enough to wake you.
Cheers Wolfjk

Hi,
Her death means she will have a problem solved. He was sad means he will be happy.
