Mountain Dreams

I had a dream Saturday morning that my wife's brother and his wife moved to a house that was located in the mountains. We had taken a vacation and was visiting them there at their home, but I felt like that they really didn't want my family there. So I hiked into the mountains around their home and found some log cabins that had recently been built. The ones on the lowest part of the mountains were completely built and furnished. But as I climbed the mountain the cabins were not quite finished. The one one top of the mountain was only framed in and was covered by a huge blue tarp because there was no roof. A carpenter who was there removed the tarp so that I could see the framework. The framework seemed to be well built and very strong.
Today, I dreamed that my wife and I were traveling south on a freeway to visit her sister in another state. We came to a place called Stone Ridge which was imposing mountain. This time, I noticed that the mountain was being carved away so that stores, roads, and homes could be built. I was thinking that I had seen this place before when I was younger, but it was so different now.

Your mind is wandering towards retirement in the mountains. Whether it's you who wants to go there or you have been talking or thinking about the subject of log cabins, the call of the wild is never far away from your imagination and dreams.
There is also a hidden desire for a place colder than where you live. Why?

You're right, my wife and I have been talking about retirement lately. To me it means trying a differnt career. Also, it means finding a colder climate I guess I like the cold. Take care and thanks for answering my post.

well in the dream you felt that someone did not really want you to visit them.. maybe that plays out some similar worry in the time just before christmas? do you visit your brother? does christmas seem a bit tiresome with some rrelatives that you feel that you have to meet
