Getting my hair cut

I dreamed I went to a get my hair cut at a chain salon like Fantastic Sam or something like that. I sat in the chair, facing away from the mirror. I told the woman who was going to cut my hair that she could only cut off an inch maximum. As I was talking, she started cutting. When she was done, she turned me around to look at the mirror and she had cut my waist length hair up to my shoulders. I was FURIOUS. She just stood there and looked at me with a sheepish grin on her face. Then I woke up.

This dream had the sole purpose of waking you up. you are proud of your hair and when the poor woman cut it off you got angry and woke up. Your subconscious knows your nature and uses your vanity, temper and self importance to wake you up. It has a wicked sence of humour!

Have you been trying to alter your image at all?

Your hair is very long and obviously very importyant to your own look? So maybe it shows that you like the weay that you are? That you really do not like others pushing you too mucyh in a certain direction?

Has anyone made remarks about your hair? Suggesting it is perhaps a bit too long and that ... whatever?

So maybe the dream captures some theme with a similar "yes man" theme. But Tony Blair could also have different meanings. He has virtually said that he will resign in the spring and there was much speculation about this and about how he should go about resigning. Maybe the dream captures a similar theme in your own life eg "I am thinking of leaving my job. But if I tell my boss it may cause trouble for me. I might just leave it as long as possible".

Therefor its possible to list many different symbolic meanings. Any one of these could be correct. The first association that comes to mind is not always the correct one. Its a matter of trying out different theories and then seeing if they fit the situation or feelings within your life. If one seems to work then try working in the other dream symbols.
