So here's how it goes,
In my dreams, people are trying to kill me. It's only men, and usually only one at a time. They might be chasing me, or stalking me, and there is always a confrontation with me having to fight them off for my life. They are always wearing rubber gloves, big black ones. I can usually tell they are crazy, just by the way they look and looking at them. When I wake up, I'm literally unable to move, for about 5 minutes, normally my hand is cluched and won't let go, like if I was still fighting someone off. My head is warm and I'm sweating pretty hardcore when I wake up. I'm a med student, healthy amount of stress, on break, nothing going on too crazy in my life, no real post traumatic events. They started about 3 months ago, when nothing really happened. Any advice on any meaning from anyone? greatly appreciated in Texas |

you could be really worring about your own mortality now that you are confronted with death more often than most. i could be wrong but here goes... you say you're on a break. while that's probably relaxing but if you'r the type who needs to be in control and have order your mind could be expressing worry in an exagerated account of what could happen when you let your gaurd down and relax. the dark figure could also represent you without control a hidden, 'crazy' side, a side which i'm sure you have to keep in check due to the demands of your job, lest you end up with a dead patient. i would suggest trying not to run and even talk to the stranger. they usually say some interesting stuff.

Hi,
In dream language someone who is trying to kill you means someone who tries to solve your problem. Running away from someone means you will overcome him.In the dreamm mythology once Moses dreamt He was running away from Pharahoe and at last Moses was the winner. Here is some more info: Dream language interpretation is an ancient science of allusions and pointing of the surrounded environment, as Mr. Einstein has said the events are like train stations which exist and we are moving towards them, these are prewritten destiny with some authority ( in decision making seconds) in very full details. This dream language should be translated, and interesting to know it is international and common for all human beings. But ignorance causes some misunderstanings.People were not aware of this language and always thought in a bad way , for example Mr. Freud said about sexual dreams it is because you have suppressed your sexual desires so misled everybody and some women dreamt about having sex with co-workers or another and thought they should do that, while it only meant he will do something for her, or some others dreamt had sex with the same sex and invented homosexual, while it meant the same ,Also some men dreamt his wife had sex with a man and didn't understand or a woman dreamt her partner had sex with a woman and didn't' understand ...etc.Do you see what catastrophes are caused by misunderstanding a language. About the approximate interpretation time table: Dreams at noon or exactly at midnight( In the summer time 13 at noon and 1 midnight else at 12)in the same day if past a few minutes, a few days later. Dreams at 10-11 in the morning in 15-30 days later. Also dreams at 3-4 in the evening in 1-2 months .Dreams in the sunset mostly are not truthful and are messed, they have no interpretations, Dreams at 4-5 in the morning in a few days to 2 months some dreams in the holy books( Josef dream of kneeling the sun and the moon and 11 stars)was interpreted after 20 years and other dreams of the Pharaoh's prisoners interpreted in the same day and after 7 years. Dream of Pharaoh about the 7 thin cows and 7 fat cows interpreted from the next year to 14 years. Also dreams in 6th of the month will interpret after 1-2 days, in 9th at the same day, in 10th after 20 days, in 13th after 9 days in 14th after 26 days and in 15th after 3 days, in 16th after 2 days and in 28th ,29th ,30th in the same day, but these are solar (Persian months and you should refer to a calendar or convert them) . Of course there are different kinds of dreams , like messy dreams which have no interpretations or deja vu dreams, or psychological dreams or dreams which are caused by bad food or drinks. Bibliography: 1- Principles of the dreams, by Daniel the prophet (562-604 B.C) Peace be on him. 2-Divisions of the dreams, by Imam Sadeq peace be on him ( 663-798 A.C). 3- Generals of the dreams, by Mohammad ibn Syrin ( 690 A.C). 4- Guides in the dreams , by Jaber ibn Hay'an( Father of the new chemistry) 5- Interpretations, by Ibn Ash'as ( 840 A.C). 6- Complete interpretations, by Habish Teflisi ( 1180 A.C). 7- Treasures of the dreams( Al Ma'moni) by Abd al Salam ( 963 A.C). gloves mean someone who has some kind of power.

Advice? Not sure really.
Dreams can often take a step sideways and they do not mean what they are supposed to mean. Your a medical student right - I do not mean to sound accusatory but I have heard stories of med students popping all sorts of pills(largely to keep themselves awake and cope with pressure). Drugs can have an affect in dreams. Men in dreams. Well they can link to male emotions. Your studies are very pressurized as you have said. Men in dreams can link to stress and pressure.. men stand for male emotions such as lack of communication, arrogance, nastiness, time pressure, whilst women can stand for good communication, harmoney etc. You say that you feel almost paralysed. This sounds a little like sleep paralysis. But I would rather rule that out since you say that your awake. Do you feel as if its almost a world which is half asleep and half awake .. that you feel trapped to the bed Probably the simple answer is that this is very temporary. In my experience I have found that dreams link very much to the mood we wake up in. So if you feel depressed or desperate then the dream you have will reflect this. But do not think that in some way the dream has caused the mood - the dream simply reflects some new mood. I sometimes wake up in a bad mood... or sudden good mood. I do not know what causes this.. perhaps diet.. not sure... ------------------ One way of telling how vital dreams are is to study people who are deprived of sleep and dreams.Sleep deprivation is very dangerous if it continues for extended periods. If you are deprived of sleep for several days then you will slip into madness. The reason for this is that sleep and dreams are linked to vital brain functions. During the day we store up new thoughts and experiences within short term memory blocks. So if we are deprived sleep these become overloaded. The mind has no more space to store new feelings so these are merely forgotten. During sleep vital brain waves emerge. Beta waves and theta waves are only ever detected within the brain at night. These help us process through those new feelings and experiences stored in short term memory. We integrate these new feelings into long term memory blocks. So if you do not sleep then you will not be updating your thoughts. You will not be building a bigger picture.
