Question Recurring School Dreams

I have been having this dream since I graduated high school four years ago. It always plays out like this:

It's my senior year, and it's the last week of school. I'm usually taking finals, or studying. Suddenly, it dawns on me that my whole senior year, I've forgotten a vital class. It is usually math. I have went my whole senior year, without going to a class that I need in order to graduate. The teachers or administrators didnt even let me know. I know this sounds weird, but in my dream it is extremely emotional for me, I'm almost in tears over the realization that I will have to repeat a whole year of school over again! I start panicking and freaking out. Then my dream ends after this realization.

I'm not sure what this dream could mean, any ideas? Similar experiences?

Dreams of forgetting something important and subsequent panic usually mean that you feel exposed or lack some confidence. You may feel you are faking it and are about to be discovered. The best thing to do is try to figure out what is the cause of the anxiety, and take steps to resolve it. The dream takes place in school, which is a place of learning. Perhaps you haven't "learned your lesson" in a life situation, or something like that. Good Luck!

Thanks for your input dan! I appreciated the theory on the possibility that there is a lesson I have not yet learned, it definately got me thinking...I just started college, we'll see if my 'school dreams' finally end!
