I had a VERY vivid dream this morning about me and a big, brown grizzly bear. Apparently, I left the "real world" and took up house with this grizzly. We hung out together, I slept in a ball (we kind of spooned) beside him, we ate together, we rolled and played with each other, we were total pals. Finally, my best friend since we were kids came to visit me and my grizzly. We camped out, ate and talked, but at night I left their camp and went and slept with my grizzly out in the open as he wasn't too interested in other people. He never displayed ANY hostility. He was my total companion/pet/friend.

What does this mean?????

Sounds like you were very close to the bear. Could be your totem or power animal? If you have the bear as a totem, you are being guided for a leadership role. It is also introspection, looking for the answers within yourself and encouraging your abilities as a natural healer.

I think it is a good dream to be so close to an amimal.

What an interesting dream.

My approach to interpreting your dream would be to think about what a grizzly bear means to you, personally. So when I think of the word 'bear', some expressions come to mind like 'bear with a sore head' or 'to bear something' as in 'to put up with or endure something' or 'to bear' as in 'to take responsibility' for something. On the other hand 'to bear' might mean 'to give birth' to something like an idea or that an idea has come to fruition.

I'd then ask myself what's been on my mind recently - especially the day before the dream. So I'd ask myself questions like:
Am I enduring a situation right now that I'm unhappy with?
Am I feeling that I have to, or that someone is expecting me, to take responsibility for something just now?
Am I feeling bad tempered right now (and I might be if I was feeling put upon!)?
Have I 'given birth' to any new ideas recently?
Have any new ideas come to fruition recently?

So I wonder if any of those questions ring any bells with what's been uppermost on your mind recently?

That's the way I interpret dreams and I hope something there works for you or sparks off some other ideas about what a grizzly bear might mean.

well grizzly bears can symbolise things and emotions that we associate with them. Try to see if such emotions are relavent right now.. particularly the day before. grizzlys stand for moodyness and grumpyness perhaps ? think about your freinds in the dream. How have they been acting like the bear? have you been a little distant from them? or do you enjoy sharing and moaning about the world with them

Many people think that dreams contain messages. Yes thats true to a certain extent. But really dreams are often just our best guesses. Dreams are symbolic of judgements that we have to make. Often we do not have access to all the information that we require. For instance you maybe angry that a friend seems uncooperative and seems to have been sending out some very negative signals. That maybe the best guess that you can come to. Yet you may not have all the facts and you might be in ignorance as to the real reason for your friends strange behavior.
