That was a pun

A specific regular dream that I could use interpreting:

I'm much older, maybe not even myself. I'm a doctor, working in a lab, trying to cure cancer. I devote 12 years of my life to 12 patients, each suspended in large glass containters filled with a green fluid. For some reason, I have a red-headed assistant (a woman). By the end of my dream, I'm very close to curing it when somebody I seem to know (by the assistant telling me "him" and me somehow knowing who it was) kills all 12 of the subjects and my work is lost, and I know that I'll never complete it.

I've thought about this dream a lot, and may have contaminated it and have tried to leave those parts out. The saboteur's name could be "Andy" which could make sense, I know somebody named Andy, who has red hair (I never see features of the man in my dream.)

Based on the dream dictionary, the analysis of the dream doesn't seem to be very...positive...
- The redheaded assistant could represent a girl I'm interested in, and possibly what she represents to me (a morespontaneous companion? She doesn't have red hair)
- For time, both of the suggestions seem to fit: fears of not being able to cope with the pressures and stresses of everyday life; not having enough time, signifying stress, anxiety and fear. You may feel that time is running out in a business or personal matter.
- Cancer's definition also holds merit to my life: To dream that someone has cancer, indicates that you need to change your negative way of thinking before it creates a cancer in you
- As does sabotage - To dream that you have been sabotaged, represents waking conflicts. An overwhelming anxiety is threatening the boundary between your unconscious and your ego.
- The number 12 is what I can't find a good explanation of, the sources I've found conflict.

I'm here to get some outside views on my dream processes and this specific dream, anything you could give me would be very helpful.

Getting older means getting wiser and receiving some dignity and esteem is on the way.
Twelve ill people means many moral problems , illness means being immoral.
Death means the immoral people will have the problems solved.
.
Let's wait around a month or two to see what will happen with these symbols.Now may seem strange .
