Hi everyone, this is my first time posting here. I have searched the internet quite a bit looking for other people who might have experienced this type of things, but have found very little about it.
I have always been an active dreamer, and I find it to be very entertaining and fun. However, lately I have been dreaming of basically normal situations where nothing but conversation really happens. Problem is that I don't realize that I only dreamed it until I find out someway that it actually never occurred. One example is that I thought I had called a friend to ask them to mail something to me and after several days of checking the mail I find out that I never even called them. Another is a conversation that I thought I had with my dad but when I called him to see why he didn't meet me for lunch like we arranged, he had no idea what I was talking about.. And the list goes on with ordinary events like that. It is starting to happen more frequently the past couple of weeks and its quite frustrating and embarrassing, i no loner trust my memory of having done something.. Has this ever happened to anyone and any ideas or advice or why it happens and if there is anything I can do about it? |

Things like you describe happen sometimes. Dreams can feel real, especially the morning after. However, after some time there should be a realisation that it was a dream. Perhaps you are going through a bad patch and are mentally exhausted. Take a good look at your life and it may be advisable to seek some help. Cheers Wolfjk

If the dream seems ordinary or mundane it is because it is exactly in that area of life where you are being shown that attention is needed. It is clearly a message about your ability to communicate with friends and family the very simple messages about life. You take for granted that someone "got your message" and they didn't. If I had this dream....I would think that although my intentions with people may be very clear and direct, IN MY MIND, that obviously friends and family are not getting my signals and intentions clear at all. It may be that you need to slow down, be a bit less self-directed at this time, and listen to your friends and family and see what their needs are...the dreams says you are not communicating well...and maybe the best place to start is listening to others and what they have to say. I agree. Sometimes when we feel like we just don't have enough hours in a day we tend to dream of thing that need to be done. For example, when my grandmother was getting her PhD in physics she would struggle with her assignments so much that she would continue trying to solve them in her dreams. She often would actually dream the correct solution.
