any ideas of what it means

about 30years ago,i had a really brilliant dog which i had to have put down.
today i awoke with a overwhelming feeling that she was still with me,having dreamt about her and i still have the feeling that she should be here.it feels as if i have just lost her today and not 30 years ago.
