rats and sand storms

I was running with a man that I had a feeling that I new him, he got his foot caught in a broken pvc pipe in the ground and it dug into his foot. I told him not to pull hard and I said I had seen this before and helped him pull the plastic away from his skin, there was only minor blood, and then under the pipe I saw only the upper half a body of a rat that was white and its head still seemed alive. Under this the ground was then open and there were more rats all packed together- think either gray or white in color. I remember a for a some short portion at the moment the man was an ex-boyfriend. Then I was running in a sand storm away from that with area holding on to I think the glove of this man I can not tell who he was, to my office.
