So last night I had a dream about this wolf. It started off as me and my mother were sitting in a car and then all of a sudden we see this blackish brownish wolf and we start to panick because my little sister and brother were outside with it but the wolf wasn't interested in them, it was staring right at us, ignoring my siblings, and just growling and barking at us. Next thing I know I'm outside standing in front of my house, my mom and little sister aren't out there anymore its just me and my brother. Then the wolf jumps on my brother, I don't know if it was biting him or what but I tried to kick the wolf off of him, then my brother isn't there anymore, but its the wolf. The wolf was just lying there looking at me with this look, like he was hurt, sad, tired, I don't know. Also it wasn't the same wolf that was on my brother, it changed when it was on the ground it was a white/grey one. Then I heard these voices saying to kill the wolf, so I walk up to it and kick it in the ribs, then I stop and decide not to. I look at it and I feel sad, regret, and pity. Then when I get up to go and leave, it touches my hand and I stop and decide whether or not I should stay with it, but in my mind I think its just going to attack me. So I walk away. When I woke up I felt a sense a sadness and regret.
Does this mean anything? |

A wolf is something that I would think speaks to our primal side, the side that wants to howl at the moon and leave dark footprints in the night. Perhaps there is someone / something in your life that represents this 'wildness' and you have felt threatened by this but recently you have seen the vulnerability of whatever this is and it has touched you but you still feel ambivalent and tentative about approaching or accepting this coz you understand that if you accept the gentle, sad, vulnerable wolf then you also have to accept its wilder unpredictable shadow. Hope this helps.
